Chapter 11
Kaylan stared at the food as if it were the worst lethal poison on earth to exist.
Her feet rubbed against each other hard and her heart was a mess of heavy thumping beats.
"Kaylan!!" Cypher's warning voice jerked her up and she almost tears up in fear.
How would she explain that the food she prepared for him was poisoned? A tiny portion of the food would knock her senses out to death and she had included more than what was supposed to be in there for a normal wolf.
Why was her fate so cruel?
After all the days of starving to death, why did he have to care about how she felt today?
"I'm not hungry, Alpha." She murmured, keeping her head low and Cypher gritted his teeth in frustration.
"There won't be punishment." He blurted out and raked his hair as if he was doing the strangest thing in his life.
