Xiao Junhao didn't cry or make a fuss; his deep black eyes curiously watched Jinghan, his chubby little hand grabbing hers and putting it into his mouth. Despite lacking teeth, the little one's bites were far from gentle. Jinghan's fingers were nibbled to soreness. "Ow, does this little rascal need to teethe, biting so eagerly?" Jinghan withdrew her fingers, examining Junhao's small mouth, and indeed noticed some whiteness and hardness at the middle of the lower gum ridge. "Aha, he really is about to teethe, hah, you're about to become a little rabbit," Jinghan laughed.
"Could it be anything else? These past few days, he's always biting while nursing," Jinghan murmured as she took her son into her arms.
When children start teething, their gums itch, which is why they love to bite.
"All children go through this phase; it'll get better once the teeth come in," Mrs. Xue chimed in when she overheard the conversation.
