Alvin Clegg had never imagined Nigel Clegg would give up Melody Foster.
Just like he had never expected Darton Thompson to win over Nigel Clegg in the first place.
However, if Darton Thompson herself delivered an opportunity for him to use, he certainly saw no reason not to make use of it...
"Why would I want to change my sister-in-law," he shrugged and muttered to himself, "No matter what, Melody Foster is better than that Darton Thompson."
At least Melody Foster was simple and not troublesome.
Though sometimes, the words she said could be a bit too sharp.
But a kind-hearted woman is always a bit more likable than one with a bellyful of schemes, right?
There were too many smart people in this family, Jose thought, what they lacked was someone as simple as Melody Foster to provide some balance.
