Rwby Rise

After the Rise

Ethan may have missed the Rise, but what comes after is entirely up to him. The Surge sent a burst of radioactive energy from deep underground that blanketed the mountain city of Ascension like a fine dusting of snow, resulting in less than one percent of the city's population gaining superhuman abilities that ranged from inconvenient to catastrophically destructive, irrevocably changing the city's power dynamic overnight. After nearly a year straight of fighting throughout the city, Apex has firmly established its Protectorate Program, employing as many newly powered people as it could to bring the city under control once more. Now, the city enjoys an uneasy peace while Apex struggles to keep the balance of power from tipping again. Ethan Havoc, however, doesn't care about any of that. While working in the tunnels, he missed the Surge, and his opportunity to finally escape his small hometown, Stillrock. With the help of his best friend, Raz, he embarks on his own relentless pursuit of powers strong enough to rival his sister's. Now, after finally gaining his own powers in a tragic accident that, depending on who you ask, may have been entirely his fault, Ethan Havoc is on the brink of reaching his goal and becoming Ascension's newest Protector. It cost him every relationship he had, but nobody said purposefully altering your DNA to become a superhero would be easy. Of course, things would probably be easier if Ethan also hadn't accidentally created the newest supervillain to target Ascension in the process of gaining his own abilities, but how was he supposed to know that Slate had a murderous streak aimed directly at his own sister? Ethan has to gain control of his new abilities while fixing all the new problems he's caused if he wants a shot at becoming a Protector, but Slate isn't going to wait for him to figure out how to keep himself safe while she presses forwards with her plan to upend the power structure in Ascension. Running is always an option, but that would hardly impress the bold Apex scientist whose research holds the key to Slate's plans, and he'll need a few new friends if he wants to survive his first week in Ascension.

RISE OF A RACE

"there are two kinds of people, the wise and the intelligent. The wise are those who accumulate wisdom by making mistakes or witnessing others making them and learn from them, no one is born wise, wisdom is acquired by experience and observation of anything and everything, it may be from a job, stories, books, movies, tv shows, even social media... but most importantly history, people who disregard history are foolish, history shows us the mistakes made in the thousands of years of existence of our race, it is accumulated concentrated wisdom, it is the biggest treasure, the sharpest weapon of any civilization. And then we have the intelligent, or the 'deductions specialists' as i like to call them, those are the people that are independent from wisdom or little dependent on it, they don't need the experience of a situation to find a solution, because they find it on their own, they make it on their own on the very first try, they can do so much with so little information and tools, they surpass. Now it's not like they don't make mistakes at all, but it is very rare, and if they do, then the same mistake will never be repeated again. Now both of them are dangerous, but to a manageable degree, the ones that i fear the most are those that combine traits of both wisdom and intelligence, those that learn from their mistakes before even making them, those that undergo every single scenario, think about every single possibility, and never disregard any kind of information, no matter how insignificant it may appear, in their eyes it is worth the world. And that's not even the scariest part about them, they never regret their actions, but they always search for flaws in them, they never strive for perfection, for they know nothing is perfect, they know that they have a limit, and that someday they will reach it, but never stop from trying to find it, because they don't know where it lies and never will, it might be very close and it might be very far. They know there's no such a thing as surpassing your limit, they know they'll never become all powerful, because they're but a creation of the one and only God. Those are the ones i fear, what they can do is unimaginable, yes... I am scared of them... because i myself am one of them." ~Adam kawn~ Accompany Adam on his journey of leading Humans into becoming an multiversal civilization.

The Rise Of Loki

A lone figure stood amid the wreckage of where once reigned a pantheon, his broad back radiating an unfathomable aura of power as his golden irises swept over the debris that once housed some of the most powerful existences in this universe. "oh.. you survived that ?" Loki asked with a hint of surprise as his eyes fell on the bloodied blue-haired God barely clinging to life a few meters away Poseidon couldn't even muster the strength to respond as his eyes stared at Loki in pure terror. His mind couldn't help but think, 'What did my brother do to offend such an existence?!' Suddenly, Poseidon felt a cold chill run down his spine as a gust of wind flew passed him, before he could muster the strength to turn and face what could possibly make him feel more dreadful than the green-haired demon before him, the demon uttered three words that made his blood run cold "Fenrir.. eat him." ========= This story is strictly fictional. It revolves around a down-and-out Loki who rises to the pinnacle of existence. It will have some similarities to what is already known in the myths; however, due to my lack of knowledge on the matter, most of the story is entirely original, with only a few elements added as I learn more through my research along the way. As I said, it's strictly fictional. ========= NOTE: I am not a professional writer and have zero experience. This is honestly just to gain experience as well as a hobby but constructive criticism is always welcomed. I will try to upload 2-4 chapters a week with each chapter having at least 1200 words
