Clenching her right hand, Ivana Bennett swung a fist at Lucas Walker's face with all her strength.
Klang!
A crisp sound of metal clashing echoed. Ivana felt as if something was pulling her arm then her fist, less than a centimeter away from Lucas Walker's left cheek, was abruptly halted.
It wasn't that she wanted to stop. Rather, her hand could no longer move forward, as if something was holding her arm in place.
Unbeknownst to her, something was now on her wrist.
It was three centimeters wide and made of gold. The surface was embedded with deep blue gemstones that resembled a night sea. A large gem was in the middle, surrounded by smaller, sparkling ones all around.
It looked just like a dazzling galaxy.
Had it not been for the intricate combination lock on one side and the golden chain attached at the bottom, the object on her wrist could have been mistaken for a bracelet.
