Gazing intently, Flossie Wright stood by, watching Yvonne Watson stir-fry vegetables.
After adding two more spoonfuls of oil, Yvonne Watson turned the heat low and skillfully stirred the vegetables.
In her memory, she had rarely seen Yvonne Watson cook. The few times she had, Captain Lin had found many faults: the heat was too high, the vegetables too old, the flavor not enough, or too bland…
It was probably very average.
But, watching her movements now, Flossie Wright judged by her own standards that Yvonne Watson was actually quite good.
Less than ten minutes had passed.
Cabbage Soup, Stir-fried Radish, Scallion Fried Eggs.
All three dishes were neatly arranged on plates and placed on the stone table outside.
Flossie Wright raised her eyebrows, somewhat surprised.
"Thanks."
Patting Yvonne Watson on the shoulder, Flossie Wright expressed her gratitude and then sat down on the stone bench beside the table with a slightly cool plate of white rice.
