Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Stage Fright at the Wedding_1

The wedding that had caused a sensation across Asia was being held in C City's Kays Grand Hotel.

The sudden marriage of Ryan Gregory, the eldest son of the illustrious Gregory Family of Asia, had caused quite a stir...

Although the wedding had been arranged in haste, it was far from plain.

Moreover, the Gregory Family had made it known that no wedding gifts were necessary; instead, they would give gifts to the attendees, fully showcasing the Gregory Family's generosity.

Such good fortune was truly rare these days.

Who wouldn't want to enjoy a feast and leave with additional benefits, especially when there was no need for a cash gift?

These days, who doesn't collect a bit of gift money at their wedding?

But the Gregory Family really didn't care about your cash gifts; their wealth rivaled entire nations. The Gregory Family was involved in multiple sectors, with international shopping centers under their name spread across every city in the country, and even abroad.

Real estate, the wine industry, resort centers...

Some say that in C City, half the city's storefront land belongs to the Gregorys.

As soon as Sofia Hamilton arrived at the wedding venue, her legs turned to jelly. She had never seen such an extravagant event in all her life, and what's more, she wasn't even the real bride today.

The venue was filled with guests, and a magnificent red carpet stretched beneath her feet, leading all the way to the front where another man stood, only slightly turned away, his gaze not directed at her.

It was as if he had no interest whatsoever in the bride...

He stood there, exuding an air of aloof pride.

Sofia Hamilton was overwhelmed by stage fright. She wanted to call it quits, to leave...

But Aaron Brown, standing beside her, seemed to have read her thoughts. He held her retracting hand, and reminded her, "Don't be nervous."

"I... I, can I go to the restroom?" She was so nervous she could barely speak, her legs turning to mush. Lying had always been her weakest point, and she never imagined having to deceive such esteemed individuals at such a grand event!

Aaron Brown glanced at her, a cold smile lifting the corner of his mouth, as he retorted, "What do you think?"

As soon as his words fell, the music started.

Aaron Brown then took her by the hand and proceeded forward.

Sofia Hamilton was a bundle of nerves but had no choice but to follow him under the watchful gaze of the crowd.

She kept her head down, and on several occasions, nearly stepped on her wedding gown, drawing curious looks from many who wondered why the bride kept her head down throughout, as if afraid of being recognized.

Finally, after navigating the five or six meters of red carpet, Aaron Brown lifted her hand to place it in someone else's.

But the man seemed reluctant to take her hand, hesitating so long that it began to border on awkward for everyone present.

Sofia Hamilton lifted her gaze to look at the man in front of her.

The man was truly handsome, with faultless features set in a deep, arresting face, his dark eyebrows almost swooping into his hairline as if he were a handsome general from ancient times, exuding a regal power.

Yet his dark eyes held a trace of melancholy that didn't fit at all with his persona; his expression was calm, and within that calm, there seemed to be a hint of distaste.

Was he repulsed by her?

Sofia Hamilton looked at him innocently, the aversion on his face so clear.

Could he have realized? Realized that she wasn't the real bride? But that shouldn't be possible; hadn't the Brown Family said no one had seen Regina Brown?

Seeing that he had no intention of taking her hand, Aaron Brown reminded him curtly, "Ryan."

Ryan!

Was his name Ryan?

Was he the person she was looking for?

Sofia Hamilton's eyes widened as she stared at him. Could he be the one she was searching for?

They had the same name...

Keep up the support, and remember to save this to your favorites...
