Even though Lucas Griffin tried hard to suppress his emotions, Amanda Jenkins could still hear the blame in his tone.
Feeling even more aggrieved, tears uncontrollably welled up in her eyes, "Even you are blaming me... I am stupid, I am dumb, I can't even explain myself when I'm misunderstood."
Lucas Griffin quickly stepped forward to embrace her, heartachingly cupped her face, and bent down to kiss away the hot tears on her face, anxiously explaining, "Fool, I'm not blaming you, I'm just worried that you don't know how to protect yourself. If in the future I'm unable to protect you, who will?"
Amanda Jenkins looked up in shock, tears in her eyes, "What... what do you mean? What are you saying about not being able to protect me in the future?"
Lucas Griffin fell silent for a moment, his gaze flickering.
Amanda Jenkins's heart tightened, she clutched his arm in return, and stared at him with tear-filled eyes, "Lucas, are you going to leave me in the future?"
