'What the fuck just happened?' Leo thought to himself.
Standing alone, staring into the white expanse that was the inside of the Chronosphere, he was annoyed.
He had just been dragged into that conversation expecting to discover the secrets of how to grow stronger and improve himself as quickly as possible and yet... literally no advice was given!
'Come in here so I can tell you, this, that, and what not but really tell you nothing in the end!
The only thing of substance he said was that he made arbitrary decisions for me by altering my perception of the sister's and their perception of me!
Dumbass alter timeline Leo. I wish I could slap that fool!
Clearly whatever you did, didn't work for you! Why try to force your choices on me!!?' Leo screamed in his mind.
After taking a few breathes and thinking on it some more, Leo came to a conclusion.
'Fuck it. What's done is done. Can't change shit for now so I might as well just embrace what he forced on me... now how the fuck do I get out of here?!'
As if that were the trigger, Leo's consciousness was pulled from the Chronosphere and he found himself face to face with Amber.
"Do you need something Amber?"
Amber looked at him with a bit of concern as she asked, "You were just sitting here like a statue for a good ten minutes and not moving!
Robin and I were worried so I came down to check on you.
Is everything alright?"
For Leo, that was a loaded question but he knew that telling Amber and Robin that they had somehow been manipulated into their feelings would probably not go over well, so he evaded the question.
"I'm fine. I was just formulating a plan on what to do from here on out."
Amber tilted her head and brought her face close to his, as if trying to act cute, "And? What's the plan?"
Pushing Robin's face away, Leo said, "You and Robin need to level up, and quickly. I don't want to have to spend 24/7 keeping watch of you to make sure you are safe.
Soon enough I will have to venture to some dangerous locations with dangerous monsters to continue leveling and if you two want to join me, you will have to get your classes and get used to fighting."
At first Amber seemed apprehensive that Leo was going to say he only wanted them to grow stronger so he could leave them behind, but when she heard that they could come along, she put on a determined expression.
"I'm ready! When do we start?"
Leo couldn't help but shake his head.
He didn't know how much of the current Amber and Robin were actually who they were, who they were compelled to be, or if they even wanted to be a part of his life.
Which made him feel a tad guilty for having them follow him in his, no doubt, perilous journey.
'So much for never forcing a woman to do anything for me, eh past self?'
Regardless of how he felt though, he was here, they were here, and they were willing to fight for and please him, so he might as well utilize them.
Steeling his emotions and forcing the doubt to the back of his mind, Leo got to his feet, grabbed Amber by the waist and threw her over his shoulder.
"We begin now." he said as he sprinted up the side of the small mountain, heading to where Robin was still taking shelter.
Amber tried to wrestle free from Leo's embrace at first, but when he started running at full speed, she quickly gave up and held on for dear life.
It only took the two a handful of seconds to reach the top of the small mountain, as they reached the snipers nest, Leo slammed on the brakes just in front of Robin creating a small dust cloud obscuring her vision.
Robin, coughing and waving the dust from her face, felt an arm wrap around her waist before she was hoisted up and slung over someones shoulder.
She panicked at first, but when she saw her sister looking at her with pity from just a few inches away, she realized that the one carrying her was Leo.
She looked both embarrassed and happy to be in his embrace, that was until he moved at least.
At that moment, she realized why Amber was looking at her the way she was.
With Leo's current stats, he was beyond the bounds of a normal human being and as he became more comfortable moving in his new body, the faster he was able to run.
The sisters screamed nonstop as the world zipped by, but Leo paid them no mind and continued gaining speed.
After running for roughly 20 minutes, Leo finally spotted what he was looking for, his old car that he had driven to the enclave where he had planned to set up shop.
He made his way into the narrow opening of the space and once there he came to a stop and dropped the two sisters on the ground like a bag of cement.
The two looked up at him, on the verge of tears.
Their hair was a chaotic mess, and it was obvious that the sheer force of the wind had worn away at their faces because they were both as red as a firetruck.
Before they had a chance to protest at Leo's treatment though, he cut them off, "I apologize for the rough treatment, but we don't have any time to waste.
Tonight marks the start of the third day of the apocalypse, which means monsters are going to continue to get stronger and stronger, so we need to get started now.
You two are to remain here as I bring animals for you to kill for experience.
I will bring them in bunches, so I expect you to be ready to shoot at any moment, do you understand?"
The two sisters nodded their heads up and down. It was obvious that although they had already started to make progress, they were still apprehensive about killing something.
Regardless, Leo knew that he could not baby them as it would only be a disservice to himself and them in the long run.
As the two sisters readied themselves for what was to come, Leo found a relatively soft spot in the middle of the clearing and withdrew a shovel from his inventory.
After digging with all his might for 10 minutes, a massive hole was dug out.
When he was done, he approached the girls who were busy psyching each other up and said, "I will drop the animals into that hole to keep them corralled. You will kill each and every one of them before putting them in your inventory.
If they don't enter your inventory straight away, it means they are still alive, and you need to shoot them again.
Do not get distracted by the notifications that appear and do not waste time distributing your stats since they will serve no purpose.
Understood?"
"I will do my best!"
"Yes dear."
Leo gave the girls one last look before he turned towards the entrance of the clearing and disappeared.
After roughly 30 seconds, he reappeared with a few dozen rabbits.
The girls, in awe that Leo had managed to grab so many in such a short amount of time, were snapped out of their reverie when Leo shouted at them to fire their weapons.
Aiming as best they could, the girls unloaded their clips into the rabbits.
Streams of notifications flowed within the corner of each of their visions, but as they were told, they simply ignored it and gathered the corpses into their inventories.
No more than a few seconds after they had cleared the pit, more animals appeared.
The girls quickly took aim and fired. Utilizing the reload trick that Leo had taught them only a few moments ago.
This process continued, nonstop, for the next 8 hours.
