They drove to the antique shop as he got out immediately without waiting for anyone.
He found his security men standing outside the shop as he entered to see his workers interrogating an old man and a woman.
Gliding gracefully through the guard-filled store, he walked to the interrogators who stood up to bow before him.
"Well?" he asked with a sigh. "What have you both found?"
"The couple brought this," the men showed a box as they proceeded to open it which had him stopping them with a raised hand.
"It's not it," he sighed. "That's a fake."
The men looked at the box in shock as Alastor looked at the couple.
"Do you know what that is?" he asked as they shook their heads. "How did you get the replica?"
"We've had it for quite some time now."
"Some time?"
"Yes. My grandfather gave this to my father who passed it down to me. It is a rare and old family heirloom. Seeing you say it is fake is offensive but I cannot come against you because we are old and fighting you would only lead to our deaths."
The man chuckled. "I am not here to fight or beat anyone. I just want to know if you know what it is."
The couple shook their heads.
That was all he needed as he walked out of the store to get into his car.
His assistant looked at him with a sad smile.
"I'm sorry boss. I wish I could help you."
"Get me out of here," he said without looking at her.
His mind went through a lot of things as he tried to think of a place it could be.
While his mind roamed about he suddenly thought of the woman who had made him stay away from the public eye for a few days.
He sighed, waving off the thought of her as he focused on the missing item he needed to find.
The car took him back to the company as he entered the elevator going down to the underground warehouse to see everyone still searching for it.
He could tell that it was no longer here. Whatever they were looking for was gone and they were only wasting their time.
The urge to yell at everyone for turning a blind eye while the item was stolen had him gripping the wall with a force he didn't know he had.
After a while of watching them run around like lost puppies, he walked to the elevator to join his assistant.
"They are searching the new antique shops down the street," she said to him. "Maybe they can find…"
"I'm going to my office," he said, getting into the elevator as she joined him, pushing the button which closed the doors and took him up the floors.

Jake walked around his honeymoon hotel with his mind on how to get rid of Alastor.
It was now or never. The man was proving to have too much power for him even when he was not even doing anything.
Alastor had eighty percent shares so by right he could claim the company to be his even when Jake's grandfather owned the company, however, with twenty percent, he was not really going to have anything from the company which he could call his own.
Having to argue with Randa over and over again did not do him any good as he started to have ill thoughts over the man.
His envy and jealousy got to a point where even his sleep was affected and he could only gnash his teeth in rage each night only to sleep for a few hours and wake up even more tired than he had gone to bed.
Morning after morning, he would look at himself in the mirror to see a shadow of himself and this hurt him.
He knew Alastor could not take everything but he did not care. The urge to get rid of the man from the company increased with each passing day.
He did not like the idea of waiting around until something would happen to him. He wanted revenge for his bruised ego which had happened on his wedding day. A day that was supposed to be his.
One morning when Randa had gone to the pool as usual, he picked up his phone to call up his butler.
"Sir? You shouldn't be calling me when you are on your honeymoon," the man chuckled but Jake was not in the mood for it.
"I need you to find me some men."
"Is there anyone you want beaten up?" the butler said with a serious tone this time.
"No, but I do want someone looked into. A man who has a dangerous amount of shares in the company."
"Do you mean Alastor?"
"Yes, yes, him."
"Very well. I do have some detectives close by. I will send them up to your room and they will start working for you from now on."
That was all Jake needed to hear as he leaned back in his seat with ease. He smiled for the first time in days after hearing this.
It was not going to be an immediate relief but it was better than not doing anything.
He dropped the call and within five minutes a knock came on his door.
He opened it as three men entered wearing suits and glasses.
"I've got a job for you three," he said with a dangerous smile. He went through his phone to get out a picture of Alastor. "Do you all know this man?"
They all nodded which made his job a bit easier as he decided to go further with his requests.
"I want the three of you to find out everything about his past for me. Go to the ends of the world and make sure you find everything about him and don't relent. From his birth parents to where he was born to the town he grew up in. Everything."
