Chapter 21 - Ruins

Damn it!" Jake yelled, walking to flip over a table while simultaneously kicking away a chair. "Damn it!"

A knock came on the door before it opened to reveal a hall maid.

"Sir, could you please calm down?" the woman asked, getting the man even angrier.

"Don't you tell me what to do," he grunted, picking up a chair to toss at the door. The maid dodged it and shut the door.

Jake paced around huffing and puffing with his hands on his waist. He could not believe that his one chance at getting that man was destroyed. How was Alastor a ghost?

He went back to the place where the men were seated to stand before them.

"Fine, you could not find anything about him or his history," he sighed, talking with a shaky voice while trying to be calm. "But can you at least tell me about his parents?"

"That's the thing sir. We can't find anything about his parents. No pictures, no roles in society, no allies, no friends or family or relatives, no nothing."
