The words he heard made him nearly run mad. How could his sister say something like that about him?? His mind was still drifting over the fact that she said she hated having him in her life when Mario said something even devastating.
"I wish the accident had killed him even."
Jake thought he had heard him wrong. Killed him? Why would he wish something like that!
May sighed. "At times when you become so foolish like this, I somehow seem to hate myself for siding with you. If he had died, that stupid Verona wouldn't be able to control me like she is right now. I hate her!"
"It will be alright. I know that. We will deal with her at a later time. For now, let's just hope that Emily will leave as she has said she would."
