The next day they woke up a bit earlier to go and watch the try outs in the Quidditch field.
Allen's usual morning now consisted of using his wand first thing in the morning to make his bed, instead of doing it wandless like before, he mostly does it like this so he can get used to his wand and not get found out using magic without it.
After a warm shower they headed towards the Great Hall to eat breakfast.
"How is your detention going?" Asked Armand while eating a piece of beacon.
"Hmm, it's okay, I guess? Professor Snape greets me when I arrive but then we stay quiet for the most part, and I scrub all the cauldrons. Honestly, I don't know where he keeps getting them, specially since we need to clean our cauldrons when we finish class."
"Oh, oh! I heard about it from the older students! Apparently, some potions are so strong that require you to clean the cauldron without using magic, otherwise it can get a bad reaction." William said while finished gulping a piece of bread.
"So the cauldrons that I'm cleaning are from the older students? I guess it makes sense." Allen shrugged.

When they were about to leave the Great Hall, they met with Sophia and Elsie, who, for the looks of it, were just waking up and about to get some food in their stomachs.
"Ah! Were are you going? Aren't we going to go and do our charms homework at the library?" Sophia cried.
"Right, but we wanted to go see the Quidditch try outs for our team."
Elsie spoke from the side. "Can we go? Honestly, I'm interested in joining the Hufflepuff team."
"Ah. Umm. Maybe? I don't know actually, since its only try outs and not training I think its okay?" Allen wondered while massaging his chin. "What do you guys think?" He turned back and asked Armand and William.
Armand thought about it for a moment before agreeing. "It might be okay, as Allen said, its not like they are training for a match. But they try outs are starting in a few minutes, are you girls okay with that? You haven't eaten breakfast yet."
"Do not worry! Mimmy!" Sophia shouted at the air and with a pop, her house elf appeared in front of them.
"What can Mimmy do for Missy?" The house elf did a small reverence to them.
"We are going to the Quidditch pitch, but Elsie and I haven't eaten breakfast yet, can you bring us something at the pitch?" Sophia asked with a gentle tone in her voice.
"Of course Missy!" And with a pop, the elf disappeared as fast as she appeared.
Sophia looked at the boys. "Let's go!"
They made their walk towards the pitch, were Mimmy was already waiting for them in one of the benches with a table, two sets of breakfast and even some binoculars, since they were a bit far away from the pitch.
"That… was fast." Allen said as he looked at the table in front of them.
Sophia's ears perked up at what she assumed to be a compliment to her elf. "But of course, Mimmy is part of the Bailey family, so it makes sense for her to be so efficient at her job."
"Good job Mimmy, you can leave now, thank you." The elf nodded and disappeared in front of them with a pop.
Before Allen could say anything, Armand spoke. "Dobby doesn't fall on speed either, you know?"
"Oh, is that so? I am sure he is quite fast." Sophia sat down and took a bit out of a piece of bread. After swallowing, she added. "But not as fast as my Mimmy."
"Oh, really, now?" A small frown appeared on Armand's face.
"Yes, really."
"Umm, William, are they fighting to see which house elf is better?" Allen asked his friend, wondering if he was hearing correctly.
"I… think so? It might be a rich's people thing, like how you compare your owls with another wizard to see which one is faster or prettier."
Allen looked at William now with a puzzled face. "Is that a thing?"
"Oh yeah, my dad fights about this with a few of his friends, saying how our owl is faster and prettier than theirs."
Elsie, not wanting to fan the flames, turned around. "Yes! My mum does the same!" Though ours it is prettier, so it makes sense." She crossed her arms and nodded her head.
"You really think so? I think ours is prettier, its a barn owl you know, their faces are really pretty."
"Yeah? Ours is a great horned owl, they are prettier in my opinion." Elsie held her gaze on William.
Allen could see imaginary sparks between their friends, each quarreling about something different but similar. He looked up at the sky and wondered if all wizards were like this.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After their little competition between which house elf is better, and which owl is better, they watched the try outs, but as he expected, nothing really interested happened. He saw Avery and the Burke twins vying for a position, either between beaters or chasers, but ended up rejected since they weren't very good at it. Hell, they can barely fly on their brooms!
"Aren't they a bit too bad at flying? We just got our flying lessons and all of the first years passed." William scratched his head, wondering if he was seeing correctly.
"Hmm, they are a bit bad, it honestly surprises me. Maybe they passed their flying lessons with 'Poor'?" Armand looked at the three second years.
"Pfft, who can't pass their flying lesson? And what's more, how can they even try to aim for a position in the Quidditch team if they barely passed it!" Sophia laughed at the absurdity of the situation and Elsie let out a few chuckles as well.
"Who, indeed." Allen shook his head, he looked at the pitifully. Maybe that's why they tried to mess with me? Since they can barely do well on their own so they have to feel better about themselves?
"Let's go, we have homework to do." Armand stood up from the bench.
Allen let out a yawn before answering. "Right, let's go."
Sophia called for Mimmy to clean up the table and afterwards they left towards the library.
On their way there, they talked about how it went in their flying lessons. Apparently, the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws get along, and even helped encouraged each other.
"That's…"
"That's completely different to what happened to us!" William finished Allen's sentence.
"Some dumb Gryffindor boy came to Allen looking for trouble." William looked towards Allen. "But our dear Mr Lionheart here beat them before they could even do anything."
Allen cringed when William referred to him that way. He put one hand on top of his shoulder. "William… don't use my last name like that, ever again. It sounds weird."
"Oh, sorry, I just found it funny, since you did tell them to refer to you like that."
"Hey, I didn't say they had to refer to me as 'Mr'!" Allen cried.
Sophia intervened the conversation. "So that's how we should call you, Mr Lionheart? Hmm?" A smug smile on her face.
"No, you don't, Ms Bailey" Allen spat out her last name in the same tone she used.
"So, what were you saying about that Gryffindor boy?" Asked Elsie to William, trying to change the topic.
"Oh, right, after the lesson, he asked Madam Hooch to let us fly a few laps around the field, and she accepted, so the Gryffindor came to us, challenging Allen to a race around the field.
But he couldn't even lift his broom from the ground!" William laughed for a bit and Armand also chuckled. "And when he finally decided to pick it up, he hit himself in the face, at that point Allen had won the race already, but he still tried to catch up to him."
"Right, then he tried to accuse him of cheating." Finished Armand for William.
"Cheating?! So he's a sore loser! I thought Gryffindors were brave." Sophia exclaimed, and Elsie nodded along.
But after a moment, she looked towards Allen, who turned his head a bit. "You didn't cheat, did you?"
"Oh?" Allen let out a laugh before answering. "Who knows?" He shrugged his shoulders and continued to walk towards the library.
His friends caught a glimpse of a green light in his eyes as he answered.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After they finished their homework, Allen decided to stay to read the book he took out of the Room of Requirements, Sophia, Elsie and William couldn't stand to be any second longer in the library so they left Allen and Armand to their own devices.
Allen could see that Armand was reading ahead on Transfiguration, the book he currently had in his hands was for the second years and even had some third year books on the side.
If Allen was being honest, he didn't thought that a child would be able to keep up, or even get better grades than him, it did hurt his pride a bit, since he thought he would be able to be the number one in their year without making much effort, but it turned out completely different from what he imagined.
Most of the things he imagined were different, for starters, he didn't expect to be reborn, he didn't expect to have psychic powers, and he honestly didn't expect his psychic powers to be actually magic and him to be in the world of Harry Potter. So, things being out of his expectation should be norm.
He let out a sigh before he opened the book. I should read this instead of thinking about useless stuff.
After a few pages, Allen could tell that you really shouldn't judge a book by, in this case, tittle, even if it sounded like scam, the inside of it had really good and solid advice about the magic inside a wizard. Apparently, each and every wizard, contains three sources of magic, just like how the tittle of the book says, Mind, Energy, and Body, most wizards utilize only their Energy, since its the only one you need to use magic, while other wizards also practice the Mind, in the case of Occlumency. But then, what is the Body source for?
He continued to read until he found his answer.
'In the majority of cases, the Lower Energy (Body) is used for the animagus transfiguration, since it holds most of our essence, of what makes us up. The use of an animagus transfiguration requires all of our body to change to that of an animal at free will, such thing couldn't be possible if we didn't had something to turn back to what we were.
There has been more research involving the Body, one of them involves the act of sexu-'
Okay! Let's skip that for now and go back to the other parts!
Allen continued to read after a short break.
'In the British Isles, most wizards can only use their Energy, and they are content enough to do so, there are other cases, like Occlumens, where they are able to use their Mind and Energy to create protective shields on their minds and memories.
While there are a few in the country, we do have animagus who have accepted a variety of interviews regarding their Body.
…
Continuing were we left off, since most British wizards only use their Energy, they mistakenly think that that's the only thing we contain in our bodies, and they refer wrongly to it as a 'core' or 'magic core' when in reality, we don't have a giant ball of solidified magic inside our bodies.
In a few Asian countries, they refer to these parts as 'dantian' which the author believes to be a more fitting term than cores. Since in the first place, the dantians are not a physical organ or object in the body. There have been multiple autopsies done by a variety of healers from the East as well as healers from the West, done not only to deceased wizards, but also deceased muggles and squibs. Nothing different inside of their bodies. The next pages compile the comparison between the bodies and the notes of each healer…'
Allen passed the page quickly, not really wanting to see dissected bodies, he had enough of that when he was a child with unsupervised internet connection in his past life, he didn't need it now that he was a child again.
The Occlumency book does refer a lot to this book about the Mind part of the body, I guess the Upper dantian? And how you need to get it working together with your Energy to create strong walls in your mind, but… how can I know that what I'm reading is actually real and not a joke book that someone left?
He wondered for a while, looking a the book with suspicious eyes, if the autopsies were real, wouldn't this book be banned by the purebloods? Since it would show that wizards and muggles don't have any difference between each other, and if that's the case, why don't more people read about this, or even mention it.
Allen decided to think about this later and for now, concentrate on the book, even if it could be a lie, it made sense to him, since whenever he activated his magic, he could see a ball of light in the middle of people's chest, which he assumed were their magic, or magic core… But then, what about their Mind and Body? He did see that whenever he helped someone cast a spell, their magic in their Energy would flow to the other dantians, Mind and Body, then it would expel the spell through the wand, but he didn't actually pay attention to how other people cast spells.
He would need to confirm the contents of the book, and maybe check with a Professor if it's not banned, and if it isn't, why is this not taught instead of the Magical Theory book they made them buy.
