Chapter 36 - Chapter 36

He spent the following weeks looking at every student, professor and even ghosts, leaving no stone unturned, he even gazed at the mascots of every student, and surprisingly, he did found something.

When it comes to magical animals, or pets in this case, they have a specific light to them. Instead of a big ball of Energy in the middle of their body, he could say that they have the three dantians, but each of them is hundred times smaller than of a normal wizard, or student in this case.

In the case of the professors, he could tell that their Energy was more developed than the rest of them, which made sense, since they've lived longer than any of the students. While looking at Professor McGonagall, or Professor Snape, Allen could see the two other dantians that lacked in most of the people, in Professor McGonagall's case, her Body dantian, and in Professor Snape's case, his Mind dantian, both of them were developed to a point that the two dantians were merging together by a small thread which followed back and forth.

Regarding the headmaster, he did have the three dantians in his body, thought it was different from what he imagined, his energy instead of being a giant ball of light that blinded him, it seemed to be just a decent sized ball, yet, the light that emitted was different, it was stronger than the others, and it shines so brightly that its almost impossible to tell the colour, but he could see tints of red in it.

Now, about his other two dantians, his Mind one was developed just as much as Professor Snape, which made sense to him, since the headmaster is well versed in the mind arts of Legilimency and Occlumency.

Allen compiled everything he saw and confirmed with the contents of the books. It looked like the contents were true and through, he even checked the photographs in the book about the autopsies just to make sure.

The theory made sense to him, but probably because he didn't have anyone to share it in the first place, a theory, to be a fact, needs to be first debunked, held in trial and error, and put in scrutiny, yet, he only observed for a couple of weeks and he was already being called in by his head of house.

Apparently, most of the first years went to their head of house and told them about Allen's eyes. For some reason it scared them greatly, and while it did not scare the faculty, they did felt pressure whenever Allen looked towards them.

And that is why, he is currently sitting in Professor Snape's office after finally being released from his detention.

Allen honestly didn't thought he would be back in here after a while, and yet, it happened.

"Now, can you explain to me, what possessed you to walk around scaring the whole damn castle?!" Professor Snape exclaimed in anger. "And you keep doing it now, when I'm talking to you Mr Lionheart!"

Allen kept on looking at Professor Snape, not letting out any noise, yet his eyes continued to shine with the same green light. After keeping it for so long, he managed to maintain his magic active all the time, except when he was sleeping, and sadly, for the entire castle, he sometimes forgot to deactivate it, since the lights around the castle didn't strain him anymore, he honestly preferred to be able to look at everyone's dantians. It was always interesting seeing how their Energy reacted whenever they casted magic.

And it was more interesting whenever Professor McGonagall performed any type of transfiguration, since her Body dantian would help the Energy dantian to extend her magic, and finally, release the spell from her wand.

He wondered if he became an animagus, would he be able to have a better control over his Body dantian? And what if he managed to learn Occlumency? Would the use of his magic change?

"Are you listening to me you dumb boy?!" Snape let out exasperated.

"Yes Professor." Allen said tentatively. "It's just… its not something I can control." He didn't want to say what he was doing for fear of other people finding out, he learned his lesson from the other times, and he was trying to be secretive about it. Yes, letting everyone in the castle know was being secretive, since now, they don't know that his eyes lit up whenever he casts magic, so, if the whole castle was going to know, better to do it in his terms. That way he can just say that he doesn't know why it happens, it just does.

"Do you think I'm stupid, boy? I attended classes with your mother for seven years. Do you not know how many times she scared people by doing the same thing as you? The only difference is that she didn't do it as constant as you!" Professor Snape had a cold look on his face, he was mad, but not enraged.

Fuck. Mother, are you serious? Of all things, you had to be the one to pass me down this ability? So the whole plan just went to the gutter because of it!

Allen's mind raced quickly, trying to find a solution. "I… am sorry Professor, but I was born and raised in an orphanage, so, I don't know anything about my parents, nor who they were or what they did.

The only relative I know is my… aunt? She recently sent me a letter, asking to meet up." He tried to speak every word with caution, and while it was true, he feared that Professor Snape wouldn't believe him.

Professor Snape stayed silent for a couple of minutes, he paced himself back and forth in the office, sometimes he would look towards Allen then continue walking. After a few moments he sat down. "I'll let you in on something Mr Lionheart, I let you run free in the common room after the little incident because you needed to defend yourself and prove that you are a true Slytherin. I even let the little spat between you and Mr Avery go, since no one got hurt, and I even let you go whenever you scared the other first years with your eyes, and let me tell you something, it's not only that they shine and that's it. The shine has a special property that makes you feel fear if your magic can't handle it.

In the case of the Professors, since our magic can handle it we only get a discomfort whenever you look at our way, but believe me, we can feel when you look at us.

I thought it was exactly what you needed to let the other Slytherins to not involve themselves with you, but this has gone far too long and you'll need to stop."

Allen stayed silent for a while, trying to process the information. So every time Armand, William, Sophia and Elsie flinched and turned their eyes away were because they actually felt scared of me? Goddammit. But my eyes turn like that whenever I cast magic, it's not like I can stop it! Argh.

"Understood Professor, I'll stop doing it as much." Allen closed his eyes and when he opened them again, the light was gone, but the colorful green in his iris remained.

Professor Snape stood up from his desk and walked towards the door, opening it for Allen, telling him that the conversation was over.

"Professor." Allen doubted for a moment before speaking. "Can you… Can you tell me about my parents? It doesn't have to be now, and it doesn't have to be in person."

He looked down at Allen while keeping the door open. "… When I get free time, I'll be sure to write down what I remember from them in my school years, now, off you go, before I give you detention for that little stunt."

"Yes, sir." Allen walked out of the office and towards the common room.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When he walked inside the common room, most of the people inside turned their heads to see who was coming in. Their hearts dropped when they saw it was Allen, but then they let out a relieved breath since the light wasn't shining in his eyes anymore.

Allen walked directly towards his dormitory, not paying attention to anyone else.

There, he saw Armand and William. Armand was reading a book on transfiguration, while William was reading a novel. He took a liking to reading after spending so much time with the two of them.

"Hey." Allen said to no one in particular.

The two boys closed their books and looked towards Allen. "Hey mate, what's up?"

"Hello, how did it go with Professor Snape?"

"Well…" He scratched the back of his head. "He told me some stuff, actually, about how my eyes, or the light in them." He pointed at his eyes with his index finger. "Can cause fear on other people, so, yeah… he told me to stop doing that."

The three of them stayed quiet for a while before William shouted. "Wait! You didn't know?! I thought you were doing it on purpose!"

"I… yeah, I didn't know, sorry William, Sorry Armand."

"No, it's okay, I also thought that you knew, it honestly did scare me a bit. Specially because most of the time it seemed like you were looking through us and seeing something else."

"That… hahah. Sorry, I won't do it again, I promise."

"Don't worry, mate, all good now."

"Yeah, what he said, everything is okay."

"But, if you didn't know what your eyes did, why did you keep it for so long?" William asked, wondering.

"That… I wanted to see for how long I could keep it up." Allen gave them a half truth, while it was correct that he wanted to find how long he could keep the magic active, he also wanted to check everybody's dantian. Which gave him good results, and now it was time to finish with the research if he didn't want to get a whole month of detention again.

Allen wanted to ask his friends about the book, and see what they thought, but it might give away too much if he did, so he decided to keep quiet. The rest of the day they decided to talk about their classes and what seemed to work for them and what not.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Allen was currently in the Room of Requirements, it took him a while, but he managed to finish the book about the Mind, Energy and Body. Now, he was ready to learn about Occlumency.

After reading the first chapter he understood that it was necessary for him to move the magic in his Energy to his Mind, so the two of them could connect and share. His Energy would share the magic with his Mind, and his Mind in return would help him with the control of it. He needed to meditate first for the exchange to happen.

Allen wasn't really fond of the cross legged position that they always used in media whenever people meditated, but the book specifically asked for that position, since it was the easiest one to help and move your magic around your body.

The next part, and the one most wizards struggle with, is to move your magic from the Energy to the Mind and vice versa, this connection will allow you to create a shield in your mind, afterwards you'll be able to organize your thoughts in order.

Is this instant ramen? Why are there only three instructions? Well, no matter, the first book was right, so this one that recommended it must be correct as well!

He sat down in the cross legged position and crossed his eyes, breathing with his diaphragm, is something he remembered about meditation in his previous life. Then, after a few minutes, he felt his magic inside of him, while could always do it, it wasn't something that he needed to do it consciously, like now, so the feeling was a bit alien to him.

But it was okay, he only needed to send the magic to his Mind slowly, according to the book, it would take a few sessions before the Mind could be developed correctly to start forming shields.

He timed the rhythm of sending his magic the moment he breathed, so it was a slow process but it was definitely working. He could feel the magic going to his Mind, but for some reason he also felt it in his Body. Allen didn't want to stop the process since the book recommended to do it at least for an hour, so he continued until the alarm went off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the hour he went to look at himself in the mirror using his magic eyes. I think I have to think of a name for this, magic eyes its a bit too lame to call it. There, in the mirror, he saw not only two, but three dantians formed, his Energy already big enough, but the Mind and Body were formed as well, his Energy looked like a yarn thread with two separate threads, each going in different directions, one towards his Mind and the other towards his Body. If he looked closely he could see that the threads continued to moved even after he stopped meditating, and each dantian returned the magic following the same pattern.

Energy, Mind and Body continued to give each other magic while returning it as well in a constant motion.

"I… don't think this was supposed to happen. Fuck."
