Chereads / The Decillionaire Heir / Chapter 22 - Chapter 022

Chapter 22 - Chapter 022

"I have finished summing up everything" Drew was sipping a cup of milk at the dining table when Amelia walked up to him and gave her reports.

"Fifty people showed up for the job offer. However, i was able to disqualify twenty, leaving us with thirty"

Drew nodded slowly.

"Let's say i want to open a poultry business on a large scale. How big of a work force do you think it would recquire?" he asked.

Amelia mulled over it for a while, before giving her reply.

"At minimum. Twenty. Maximum depends on just how large the poultry farm is"

Drew stroke his beardless chin.

"I am thinking of opening a poultry farm in this town. What do you think?"

"Should i be honest with you?" Amelia asked.

"Please do"

"I don't think it is a great idea. Opening a poultry farm in this village has too much disadvantages. It would hardly bring you any profits"

"Who cares about whether it brings profit or not? I have enough money!" Drew argued back.

Amelia rolled her eyes. You don't have to sound so cocky.

"Alright. So how many birds do you plan to raise? two hundred?" Amelia asked.

In her opinion, Drew was just like those other young rich scions who would open small businesses just to mess around and catch fun.

"That's too little. I was thinking of rearing twenty thousand birds for starters. Ten thousand broilers and ten thousand hens. What do you think?" Theo smiled at Amelia.

"Are you kidding me? twenty thousand?!"

"What?" Drew felt that Amelia was being too dramatic.

"You are going to a large scale poultry farming. It would cost you no less than five million dollars. And that's just at it's early phase. Not to mention that even fifty staffs cannot manage such a large scale farm. Plus, such a farm will occupy nothing less than twenty acres! just how large do you think this village is?" Amelia's chest heaved heavily.

Geez! she had never met such an impulsive young man in her life!

"If the villagers don't want to sell their land, make them do it with money"

"Look. Don't be too reserved. I am unlike those other tycoons out there. I don't want profits. I want to spend money!!"

'Yep. This guy is mad' Amelia thought inwardly.

Even Drew thoughts his words didn't make sense. However, he also had his reasons.

If one day he suddenly vanished just like the former system's host, his mother would handle the management of the poultry farm, thus not falling back into poverty.

Also, he wanted to have his revenge on some certain people. To do that, he had to cultivate his own backing. Two fists were better than one.

And lastly, this was an opportunity to farm deci points.

Amelia took a deep breath. Since she decided to follow Drew, she must do it to the very end.

Perhaps, he would stop his impulsive madness when he began to experience the losses.

"Alright. I trust you can do this little task. Just give me the budget amount after you are done making your estimates" Drew patted Amelia on her both cheeks.

"Y-you're leaving?" Amelia blushed.

"Hm. But if you need anything. Just call me" Drew still had Hugo's matter to deal with.

Now that he had all the ingredients complete, it was time to cure his son.

Since he would be relocating his mother to the sub urbs, he also had to prepare an apartment for her.

He thought of having Diego tag along, but he rejected it. He had too many secrets that would be better hidden, lest they cause any future troublds.

Bidding his mum fare well, he put a call across to Boss Jay.

"Yes Patriarch?" the latter instantly answered the call.

Drew was impressed by the latter's unwavering loyalty.

"I want to go to the sub urbs. Can you send one of your boys to drive me there. Please?" Drew wasn't the domineering type.

The way he spoke to Boss Jay was as if he was speaking to a friend.

Boss Jay shrieked in fright from the other end.

"I dare not! how can this lowly one allow you to mingle with unworthy fellows. I will come to you in five minutes, grand Patriarch!"

Drew hung up, cracking up inwardly.

Damn. Boss Jay's actions were so funny!

Four minutes later, a car pulled up before Drew. It was Porsche 911 Turbo.

Drew laughed and hurried towards it.

"Whoa! you are so early"

But what he didn't expect was collide with a soft body, followed by a shrill scream.

"Pervert!"

Drew gasped as he hurriedly stood up. He glanced hesitatingly at the lady on the ground before extending a hand to pull her up.

"Pui! you shameless pervert! you want to take advantage of me again huh?!" the lady slapped Drew's hands away.

She had a slender figure with a hint of baby fats. Judging from all this, Drew predicted that she was at her mid or late teens.

However, this couldn't conceal her beauty. Plus she was also fully developed.

Especially those huge peaks that stood out like mount Everest.

Ahem..

"Miss you must be mistaken. I didn't intend to bump into you. I thought you were an acquittance" Drew tried explaining himself.

"Liar! you are lucky i didn't bring my guards along or you'd have been rolling on the ground right now" the young lady huffed.

Drew just scratched his head.

The young lady dusted herself up and gave Drew a very long look.

"Why are you staring at me like that? don't tell me you've already fallen for me?" Drew grinned.

"Fallen my ass! i just want to imprint your face in my mind so my daddy will deal with you himself!" the young lady retorted, her cheeks heating up.

"Is your daddy that amazing?" Drew teased.

"Hmph. You have no idea" the young lady cocked her head with pride.

But very soon, she yelled at Drew with a face full of disgust.

"Hey! stop trying to bootlick me!"

Drew felt like crying. Bootlick?

Hey young lady! i was just teasing you okay?

Before he could reply, the young lady got into her car and drove off, not forgetting to leave her threats behind.

"Just you wait for my revenge!"

Watching as the vehicle left his line of sight, a bemusing grin got plastered on Drew's lips.

"What an interesting lass"

No more than half a minute later, a vehicle came to an halt.

This time, it was a Bentley Bentayga

Learning from his mistake, Drew just stood where he was.

"Grand Patriarch!" Boss Jay got down and respectfully walked over to Drew's side.

"Why are you late?" Drew feigned displeasure.

"I ask for forgiveness. Before recieving your call, i was taking a shit" Boss Jay scratched his head awkwardly.

Drew's expression darkened.

"Did you wash your hands?"

Mr. Lewis took a drag from the cigarette he held. He was currently bare chested, laying on a mat besides a swimming pool, sunbathing.

A look of contentment plastered on his face.

"Boss!" a man in dark suit and dark shades mysteriously appeared behind him.

"Any news Shadow Shot?" Mr. Lewis asked, as if he was anticipating the the latter's arrival.

"Boss Jay has left Strawberry Village"

Mr. Lewis eyes bulged, almost choked on the stuff he was smoking.

"Do you know he he left?" all traces of casual attitude disappeared.

"No. But he left with a young man. Also, he behaved quite respectfully before the young man" Shadow Shot replied.

Mr. Lewis stroked his chin.

"Do you have his picture?"

"No. But i can recognize him if i see him again"

But at that moment, an excited scream disrupted the conversation, heralded by a young lady who rushed towards Mr. Lewis.

If Drew was present, he would definitely recongnize her as the young lady he bumped into.
