I was about to ask Lilly some more about the ferry, when Damian burst through the door.
Lilly and I both stared, eyes wide.
When he saw me there, he visibly relaxed, then his face grew red with fury.
"Why did you walk off on your own without saying a word? Do you have any idea in what went through my head?"
I blinked.
"I thought you had been f*cking abducted or something," he said, exasperated. "Or, that you had thought out some brilliant plan to get back to Amber City without being noticed."
"Can I not even go to the toilet without telling you?" I rolled my eyes, knowing damn well that he had every right to be suspicious of me.
He shot me a look and I groaned. "Fine... Sorry."
Lilly offered Dae a soft smile. "Don't be so hard on the young lady, Master Damian. She won't disappoint you. You can trust her."
