I shut my locker with all the physical strength I possessed, and that was only because it took me 20 minutes to find my sciences textbook, not until I remembered that it was in my backpack.
"Boo!" Some person barked at me while I was still trying to subtle my aggression.
"Hey Black face." It was Tori, I should've guessed.
Tori was my newest classmate, and also my newest stalker. She's a 18 year old blue-haired girl, sky-blue eyes and a tall physique. If only she wasn't a year older than me, I would have blamed the earth for it's weird prospects.
I don't know much about Tori, and that's because I try to avoid her anytime we both make an unfortunate encounter, like when she was trying so hard to be friends with me. She was the only person who had dim it fit to approach me ever since I enrolled at Tyl'l high and that was because she knew I was not a child of the ground, and till this minute she still asks me who my father is.
"WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW SO BADLY?!" I yelled at her with a full tank of anger.
"So that I can tell you how I figured out," Tori persisted, but at a point, she thought of a new topic. "Hey, have you heard? Kuyo government bureau recently found out a new kind of monster in town."
"Really?"I pretended to be curious, but all I wanted to do at that moment was to get rid of her.
"Last two nights, there was an attack, a girl named Lisa was walking on the streets inhumanly, with little brawn bitten bruises on the side of her neck, everyone thought she was a drunkard until she attacked an old man across the street, who died immediately. "
At this point, I was paying rapt attention. That attack sounded like that of ancient bats (vampiric monsters), I never knew they still existed. And it was going to be a problem indeed, because those things could start an apocalypse. But I didn't want to believe Tori's horror tale, because if the victimized girl, Lisa bit the old man on the streets, he should have also turned into a monster, a humpire at least.
"Yeah, we should better watch our backs." I subconsciously stated.

"Recently in China, there were reports of a ghastly wormrain, millions of worms were recorded falling to the earth, littering buildings and public property, every citizen was advised to stay at home as the worm rain continued. Farmers were worried about the excessive... "
A great scream came from the hallway which interrupted our science class. "HELP, HELP, THERE ARE MONSTERS IN THE BAND ROOM!!"
The science teacher quickly rushed out of the class to meet the panicky student, and I saw everyone's limbs turn white afterwards.
Monsters in the school, that's new information. Few seconds later, the teacher rushed back into the classroom and she seemed to have gotten a dose of panic syndrome.
"Students, please remain calm, we have everything under control, please I want you all to assemble yourself at the safehall. Don't go anywhere else."
"Oh geez, I have to pee." One boy shuddered nervously as he squeezed his part.
I followed suit as everyone began running towards the safehall, and I made sure to stay in the middle so that wherever the monsters came from, I wouldn't be the first victim. But suddenly, a hand grabbed mine and pulled me out of the crowd, it was Tori.
"Tori, what the hell do you think you're doing?" I yelled at her.
"We have to find those monsters." She said, simply. What was she thinking, that killing of some monsters would earn us a big title? And she seemed so confident, like she already knew what kind of monsters awaited us.
Just last night, I was combating with a spear-loaded, fire breathing bull, and I almost severed a few injuries. But now, out of the random, Tori demanded that we go and find a monster that we might have never even come across, and it was not just a monster, it was some monster(s).
"Uh, no thank you, it seems like you have a death wish." I told her, frankly speaking.
"Think about it Christoph, the girl who was screaming earlier in the hallway said that there was a monster in the band room, and she is a human, so the only monsters she could possibly have seen would have either been werewolves or..."
"Vampiric monsters? No, thank you." I turned to leave when she pulled me back again.
"You're coming with me, you don't have a choice."
And we both took each steps, supposedly to the end of my story. Tori was making a bad decision and all the proofs were there. She was going to make me fight, and if the school authorities found me with a Styx blade, they'll either expel me or confiscate my blade, which wouldn't be much of a problem because black plasma won't stay long in the company of a human. And Tori was also going to be in danger for all I cared.
We walked into the band room carefully, and we immediately found what we were looking for, but it wasn't exactly what we expected. There were two monsters in the room, but neither of them were werewolves nor vampiric monsters, in fact, these two monsters were students. Supposedly, they were girls and beneath their skirts were two different kind of legs. One of the legs was a goat hoof and the other was made of copper. Their hairs were no longer normal, they were burning with fire and smoke came out of them. But these girls were beautiful, maybe extra-ordinarily beautiful, I almost thought we came to the band room for a double date.
"Empusas." Tori said in spite, she seemed to recognize these girls. "I knew something was off about them."
"Uh? You know these two?" I asked.
Tori's eyeballs even got more stiffer. "I used to know them, when I first enrolled here, they welcomed me and asked me to join their cheerleading crew, but I refused."
"Well well well, who do we have here, if it isn't Tori and her other half-blood friend. Seems like lunch was finally delivered, don't you think Sandra?" One of the Empusas asked the other, referring to me and Tori as their lunch.
"Yes, indeed Lauren, I love to eat half-bloods." The other Empusa replied.
"We aren't friends!" I affirmed.
"HELP, HELP!!" I heard another scream from behind the drum kit, it was at that moment that I knew that these empusas had a hostage, someone they had already intended to eat before we showed up.
"Release the girl and leave this establishment." Tori threatened. "Then maybe we won't have to send you back to the dust."
Lauren, the more matured one lunged forward slowly, and at that moment, I knew I had to summon black plasma.
"But Christopher wouldn't hurt me, would he?" Lauren asked, looking at me with her beautiful eyes.
"Uhh, how do you know my n-"
"You wouldn't hurt me right? I'm exclusively yours, right?" Lauren asked again.
"Christoph, snap out of it, she's trying to distract you." At that point, I could only hear little from Tori, all my focus was targeted at the literarily hot Empusa. I knew I couldn't wake up unless someone forced me to.
