"Because I don't think these are just rocks"
Said Cao Guang pointing at the walls.
He had heard of such a phenomenon once in the canon but it was a different species in a different setting, so he had just managed to make the connection.
Yao Nan took a closer look at the said rocks and didn't discover any difference. But then he remembered reading that alligator species tend to make mounds and lay their eggs.
Ferocious Gale Alligator may have had the idea to lay their eggs in an Elemental Sacred land due to the biological need to improve and probably the number of eggs here matched their horder rather than a single alligator.
If they took away the Soul seed or stayed here longer than necessary, a horde of angry mothers might be coming for them with vengeance.
"Start digging using the Earth element, every one else with help me bandage Fenrir or keep a look out"
Fenrir was their best choice if they needed to cover a large distance in a short period of time. After finding these eggs, he had no desire to stay in these lands.
But Fenrir was injured and all he had were some potions and herbs. He let the wolf drink the potions and made an herbal paste with the team's help and bandaged the wound. Without a Healer this wound would take Fenrir three to five days. That's after taking his healing factor into consideration.
Zhu Li and Yan Liling made some progress with the digging and nearly reached the Soul seed and it made sense because the Alligators probably laid the eggs here so that Soul seed could influence them.
Nie Huan kept a look out for the team while Yao Nan help the girls transfer the mud and rocks away. Cao Guang walked the distance of the Cave a couple of times with a small Container he lifted out of his storage space.
"Got it" Zhu Li exclaimed with joy as she placed the Soul grade seed in the container. It seemed to be one without a domain. The team climbed aboard Fenrir as moved out as Cao Guang possessed the Little Flame Belle and released a Ground Break towards the entrance of the cave.
The flames erupted at the entrance and destroyed a few dozen eggs but instead of being doused it seemed to be spreading inwards and kept destroying the eggs for a few moments before finally being doused and in turn brought the whole cave down.
The team could feel the whole Earth shaking as the Alligators returned to their mound with fury. This also gave the team an opening to leave the Sacred land pretty much undetected.
"What was with that Fire?" Yao Nan asked as soon as they were out of danger.
"It's a military technique, I can't say anything else"
As the inventor of the technique he had long carried some of the Formula with him. He could never used it during a fight, but they were perfect for an ambush. But being who he is, he was unwilling to use a national grade resource on a simple ambush and always used the terrain to his advantage instead.
Now he had found a use worthy of it's existence and had killed at least fifty percent of the eggs over there with just the flames and rest might just be crushed in the rubble. As for the rest he could not do anything more.
Being a profit oriented guy he would have stayed behind to collect some fees Soul Remnants and Essences if not for the fact that unborn demon beasts didn't have them. Cao Guang could have made a living out of this loophole if they did, with his Soul Container and Little Tora pendant.
The team made their way back to Shanghai eventually and divvied up the loot. Zhu Li decided to buy out the Soul grade seed in exchange for 350 million to the other four.
Cao Guang made almost 96 million in this trip, bringing his savings back to 333 million, almost nearly making up for all his losses. But he hadn't done what he set out do. He didn't find any worthy cubs of the Ape or anything else he could contract or anything else he needed.
He had come close to a break through in his Fire Nebula. Cao Guang fed his daughter some more snacks before going to the Healing department to find someone to take care of Fenrir. He had promised the wolf a few days of Summoning Nebulas energy that he needed to pay for as well.
