Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Infinity Terra Pistil

A/n: In the canon, it was called Earth Pistil, but I am gonna call it Terra Pistil or Terra Water Pistil or Terra Fire Pistil, depending on its element.

Dean Xiao's original Formation of harnessing the energy of flowing water only generated enough energy to sustain a barrier. However the next logical step for it would be, to be used as a charging cable for Terra Pistils.

Terra Pistils were a core component of human civilization. All major cities of mankind was near either a source of water or precious resources they needed to grow stronger. In small cities like Bo, Ape Rats and other creatures made their way in to the centre of the city, because there was no Barrier made with Terra Pistils.

Terra Pistils were a Forbidden Curse level resource, they couldn't be used to protect every city. Bo City had at best a weaker Secondary Barrier at it's border with Nanshan Range with the military base acting as the core point.

Terra Pistils didn't just allow humans to build a Headquarters level city in the midst of Demon hordes. It could also be used as a supporting material when breaking through to the Forbidden Curse level.

Commonly Terra Pistils existed in seven forms with Terra Earth Pistils being the most common. It was theorised that the ocean floors held massive amounts of Terra Water Pistils as they would explain why the strength of Sea Monsters were so suffocating for humanity.

Presence of elements to the extreme gave birth to Terra Pistils. Even if Demon creatures couldn't make structures out of it they could absorb it just by breathing. To them it was an evolutionary advantage.

There were scientists who claimed humans could develop the skill over a ridiculously large amount of time. Uncommonly Terra Pistils also existed for Dimensional magic.

This was a heavily disputed topic, but it was proven when a Stone of Will mine was discovered in Iceland. The mine also contained a few Terra Space crystals. But there were only four of them, and reportedly each had created a monsterous Space Mage.

However to date, only the Four Terra Space Pistils were discovered, those of the other three Dimensional magic were so far only a theoretical possibility.

But like every energy source, Terra Pistils were also finite, they would run out over a time period. Therefore cities like Shanghai compromised on the use of Terra Pistils and limited them to only during invasions or a yearly purge of check up for the city.

Cao Guang believed of Dean Xiao developed the technique in the future he would also discover this possibility and work towards it, only it might take him a few more years. By introducing the ideas so early to the man, mankind might have a safer way of holding on against the next Sea invasion.

Dean Xiao closed his eyes and breathed calmly for ten minutes before he spoke.

"It is possible"

He may have only three words but the excitement contained within them were unimaginable.

The man's dream was to contribute to human development and he felt he was on the verge of it. He hadn't felt this satisfaction when he reached the peak of magic. Then he hoped to do more. A single Forbidden Mage was not enough against an Emperor.

A team of them were needed against one. They also needed to be capable of casting Forbidden Curses individually. How many such individuals were there four, five. Tiers existed for Forbidden Curses as well.

Due to energy requirements of tiers it wasn't possible for a tier one or tier two Forbidden Curse mage to cast a Forbidden Curse alone. They needed supplements like Elemental Diamonds and such.

Some Forbidden Curse mages could cast Forbidden Curses stand alone even in the second tier due to their talents or Super powers or God's Gift or maybe a combination of all three. Still these mages were also rare.

The spiritual energy held by Stars increased in quantity and quality as mages broke through in minor and major realms respectively. To date there wasn't a tier one Forbidden Mage who had casted a Forbidden Curse alone.

Cao Guang theorised that Luo Heng held a minute possibility of doing it in the First tier, if not he was sure to do it in the second tier anyway. His talent grew exponentially more important according to his level, just like Song Xia's.

Song Xia only needed to cultivate to the second tier to cast Forbidden Curse alone and whether she could was a different story.

Elemental magic was the easiest to break through followed by others at a distant second.
