'No way, this can't happen! Raven screamed mentally. She has a thousand reason in not wanting her uncle's teaching her but she console herself as her has a thousand and one ways in getting out on it, and with that in mind she simply answer with least. "Ok what ever."
"Oh... really," Murmured Maxwell as he already knew the thoughts that was passing true his niece mind, but what the little girl didn't know is that he was ten steps ahead of her in this game and the true winner is already known, but first he needs to survive today drama.
"Before I forget Thomas, make perpetration for next week, will be having lord Gerard come over. "The lord didn't dare to look at his niece as he mentioned that name, knowing full well what was to come.
"Yes my lord, will the be any special request," Thomas bowed not before giving a quick glance at the girl, 'this wasn't going to be good' He though.
"Nothing much, just a small feast and have one of the rooms clean." He said which Thomas instantly respond with a deeper bow. he then turned to the nanny. "And Martha please get a nice dress for Raven and get som-" before Maxwell could continue on the little girl intervened. "Those things will not be needed, uncle," And when he asked why, she simply replied coldly. "Because I will not be attending." She said plainly to have Maxwell sigh regretfully.
'Of course things will turn out this way, and knowing the sore relationship between them and not to mention the incident that happened three years ago, he should have known things wouldn't be easy'.
"And I will be very busy," She Murmured as she continued to make up excuses, which the lord was well aware of.
" Raven not now, please just attend,"
"But why!, I see no reason to miss that man and his coming with make no difference." Yell Raven as she tries to hold back her emotion, which Maxwell did not catch In time as he was quick with his response.
"Because that man is your father!" He answered with all seriousness, "You not attending will only make the matter worsen. "He concluded.
"Fine! of course, am always to be blamed", Said the girl as her eyes turned glassy with tear, "-Back then and now, am still to be blamed, while father get's to play the victim."
"Don't put words in my mouth, that's not wh-" As the lord tried to explain, the girl started walking away from them without looking back non heeding to their calls. As she continued walking further away from them she could hear the fading voice of her uncle's calls. 'That's not what I meant!' she heard. Of course her knew that. but when it comes to the matter of her father, her emotions always gets the best for her. It was once said by the elder, that faixy are born and remains children for hundreds of years or more so that their parents could shower them with love as once their begin to come-of-age, their are to become independent adults and will no longer need the supports from their parents. But is been two hundred years already for Raven and not a single care in the world from her 'dearest father,' "What a joke, If only her mother was still alive things would have been better." she sighed deeply as she continued on her way home when she suddenly realize that the path she as taking looked rather unfamiliar and without knowing, she had unconsciously step in to the other path of the forest and not just any ordinary path but the path that Martha had warned her not to go into.
"For all days to get lost, why now?" Complained Raven as it looks like today was not going well for her.
Suddenly out of nowhere dark fog begun to from all around her. 'This was strange' she thought as it never gets foggy doing noontime and being a regular visitor to the the forest she knew of it but this one was completely different, she could feel it as it from like thunder clouds on the ground, it icy like clouds spared true her skin, which made her shiver but her still remained calmed.
"This is odd," Muttered Raven and just as she was about to turn back, the whole place was completely covered with the cloud like fog as it felt like she was in the heart of the fog.
"Very odd?" She Murmured.
Unknowingly to the little girl was that at the other side of the foggy wall was an entire different world from hers and she was unknowingly about to step into the world of their greatest enemy, the human.
Meanwhile at the other side of the forbidden land was the human kingdom of Ellesmere. There stood a young boy who lean beside his horse as he stared at the entrance of the forbidden land as dark fog being to spread rapidly all around as it tries to get closer to he, but the boy did not even budge at the sight on the strange fog. He was waiting patiently for the strange music he heard earlier on as he was about to riding with his men past the dark land before hearing the music but after waiting for a long time he grew impatient and decided to move towards the forest, but as expected he instantly felt a firm hand on his shoulder which he didn't have to look back to know that it was one of his guards.
"I think it will not be wise to get any closer than this," said the man.
"I'm aware John," said the boy as he never turned his glazed away from the forest, "I just wonder if does are the songs of demons playing?."
"Am not sure, but wouldn't that be terrible that such horror creatures could play wonderful music like that, and why risks stopping here of all places to hear this, for all we no it would be a trap," John asked worriedly.
"I Don't know? It just calls out to me." He smiled.
