After stepping inside the classroom, the first thing that surprised Bai Shen was the positioning of the students.
They all had a certain area occupied, and different homemade weapons in hand; a student even held a bow, pointing at Bai Shen.
"That's some greeting I got here," smiling, Bai Shen tried to ease the atmosphere by telling a joke.
But it seemed that it wasn't very helpful, as the students only seemed to be more pissed off at him.
"How dare you? Don't you know what potential trouble you could've gotten us into?"
"Yes, this is not a game!"
Two male students pointed their fingers at Bai Shen as they said this.
Even though they were aggressive in their speech, the two of them still managed to only whisper it.
Afraid that the zombies outside would hear it.
Bai Shen didn't say anything for a while; he looked around the room and assessed the situation.
'There are nine people here, three of them are girls, the other males. Three bats, one bow, and the rest have either a knife obtained from somewhere, or a sword... That girl.'
His eyes locked onto a beautiful black-haired girl with blue eyes; she was the sword user amongst the group and the one he talked to earlier.
Even though she didn't speak, Bai Shen saw that the others were constantly glancing at her, waiting for orders.
"I'm Bai Shen; it's nice to meet you guys. How about we skip over the normal routine, since no one seems to want to talk?"
Seeing that Bai Shen was still so confident despite being surrounded by them, a few of them wore gloomy expressions on their faces.
"How did you get here?" The beautiful woman, who Bai Shen thought was the leader of the group, opened her mouth and asked.
"I had to be careful; those zombies outside aren't for show." As Bai Shen said this, he didn't observe the woman's shocked expression.
She quickly hid it before asking again, "Why did you come here in the first place? Someone like you should have more opportunities outside; why risk your life by coming here?"
Bai Shen smiled as he answered, "It's because of people."
"People?" Not only the woman, but even the other students were left confused by Bai Shen's reason.
"Let me tell you why I came here."
As he said this, Bai Shen proceeded to entice the group by telling them about the Territory Token.
The unique buildings that could strengthen them, not to mention the Free Market that could basically save them from worrying about food and water.
The more Bai Shen spoke, the more people began to waver and drop down their guard against him.
"This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?" The girl asked.
"It's simple actually; just follow me and join my Territory for a chance of survival."
"Why would we do that? Wouldn't it be simpler to kill you here and then take your Territory?"
After she asked this, the other people in the room gulped; they were afraid of killing a living being.
It was alright to kill zombies since they didn't want to die at their hands, but a human...
It was a different story.
Bai Shen never lost his trademark smile, but it became colder.
His gaze intense as he confidently said, "You can't kill me."
"And why is that? You are surrounded by-" The girl couldn't finish her words as a gust of wind hit her face.
She couldn't react at all, as her throat was grabbed by a powerful hand.
She could only look into Bai Shen's eyes that looked at her.
"I'm tired of your 'grabbing benefits' game. Just say yes or no already." Saying so, Bai Shen let go of the girl.
When the others saw their leader, the most powerful person in the group, fall on the ground and gasping for air, they were shocked.
Firstly, because of Bai Shen's incomprehensible speed.
And secondly, because he still stood there, not even looking at them, as if he didn't consider them dangerous at all.
This, coupled with his air of confidence, made the students aware that he was the true monster.
'He's too strong; I don't have any chance against him. I think that even if all of us attack him together, it would be all for naught.'
Sighing in defeat, Tang Yue got up from the floor. "I won't speak in the name of the others, but I'm willing to follow you."
"What?!"
"Miss Tang!"
"Are you sure about this?"
Some people voiced their concern and disbelief, while the others looked between Tang Yue and Bai Shen.
They didn't know who to choose to listen to anymore.
If their leader was going to follow this unknown man, what were they supposed to do?
"Good. As for the rest of you, you have one minute to make up your mind."
Hearing Bai Shen's words that sounded like a threat, Tang Yue took a deep breath before asking, "Are you going to kill them?"
While Bai Shen was speechless, the other people quickly reacted and pleaded with him.
"Wait! I'll follow you too!"
"Me too! Me too!"
In a matter of seconds, seven people quickly agreed to follow Bai Shen; there was only the bow user that didn't say anything yet.
He gave a complicated look towards Tang Yue, who ignored him.
Making up his mind, he eventually nodded his head reluctantly, "Fine."
Saying so, he lowered his bow and put it behind his back. "But this doesn't mean that I'm going to become your shield."
"I'm using a bow anyway, so I'll be the one to stay in the back."
"Don't be rude, Luo Tian." It was Tang Yue who admonished Luo Tian.
She didn't want the latter to cause problems with Bai Shen, especially after she personally saw his overwhelming strength.
"What are we going to do now? I guess you have a plan for us to leave the building without causing too much attention."
"I do have one. But for now, let me quickly dispose of the zombies that your earlier shouts attracted."
Confusion was clearly written on their faces; the students looked at each other, wondering what Bai Shen was talking about.
"Arghh..." Everyone froze in their spot; they started to hear more and more zombies approaching the classroom.
Even Tang Yue looked to be a bit nervous, not to mention the others.
"Stay here until I return."
