Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Androw felt helpless as he looked at Cannibal, not knowing how to tame the dragon with the abilities granted by the unknown entity. When he attempted to move, he sensed the dragon's breath growing stronger. Mustering his courage, Androw gently put Aerea down from his shoulder and whispered, "Run." Then, he turned to face the dragon, only to find its head moving away.

The surprise made Androw take up his torch again and venture deeper into the cave to see the dragon had approached him but left after a glance. It left him bewildered. He noticed that Aerea hadn't run back to the castle and was still following him, peering fearfully into the darkness. Androw turned to her and said firmly, "Leave."

Suddenly, those dragon eyes reappeared, moving much faster and getting closer to Aerea, sensing her as potential prey. Androw acted quickly, moving closer to shield her and standing in front of her. In the process, he dropped his torch, which hit the ground and ignited some substance, illuminating the cave.

The dragon's head was massive, much larger than Androw's entire body. It had a sleek and powerful appearance, black scales that contrasted with its striking green eye. The dragon had a row of spikes running along its neck and back, adding to its menacing presence. Several horns protruded from its head, with one pair curving forward like bull horns.

Compared to this dragon, Dreamfyre, the mother of future Drogon, seemed like a beautiful baby in Androw's eyes. The dragon began to growl, and the air around them vibrated. At that moment, Aerea clung to Androw's shirt, paralyzed by fear.

As Androw approached Cannibal, the dragon's growl grew louder, causing him to hesitate. He slowly extended his hand, inching closer to the massive creature. However, the dragon's menacing growl halted his movements. Cannibal's mouth began to open, revealing its sharp teeth and tongue.

Undeterred, Androw spoke in High Valyrian, a language he had learned from the books in Dragonstone, "Calm down, calm down. I'm not your enemy." Gradually, Cannibal's growl began to weaken. With trembling legs, Androw reached out and touched the dragon's chin. It was then that he sensed a strange, spiritual connection forming between himself and the dragon. He could feel that Cannibal was hungry.

Suddenly, Aerea, summoning newfound courage, attempted to touch the fearsome dragon. This action enraged Cannibal, causing it to unleash a thunderous roar. Aerea, once again gripped by fear, clung tightly to Androw. As the menacing roar echoed in the cave, Androw felt a deafening sensation wash over him. He looked at Cannibal, stunned and wide-eyed.

Cannibal raised his head, gathering green flames in his mouth, seemingly preparing to breathe fire at Aerea. Androw realized the dragon's intention was not to harm him, but to encourage Aerea to leave his side. He spoke loudly, "Calm down, she is not our enemy." Cannibal heeded his words, and the fire in the dragon's mouth faded away. The massive dragon then lowered its body closer to the ground.

With newfound courage, Androw cautiously approached Cannibal and tried to sit beside the dragon, only to discover that he was sitting on some sharp bones. Aerea couldn't help but chuckle at Androw's pained expression, and Androw couldn't help but think that Targaryens were truly an eccentric bunch.

Androw noticed Cannibal was looking at him with a certain expectation. It made him contemplate climbing onto the dragon's back. So, he slowly got up and used the torch to inspect Cannibal's back. He saw a row of spines along the dragon's back, which quickly discouraged him from attempting such a feat. He wasn't keen on being impaled by those sharp spines.

However, Cannibal emitted a low growl, seemingly urging Androw to climb onto his back. Androw gazed at the dragon in disbelief, wondering if the dragon was serious about this. Flying on the dragon's back without a saddle was a daunting prospect, and he couldn't help but think of how Daenerys managed to ride Drogon with all those spines on his back without a saddle.
