"Let them go!" He hollered in a husky, yet threatening voice. Stella looked up to his direction.
She had been badly beaten. Her swollen black eyes were pleading for Shane to leave while he had the chance.
Instead, his anger grew more on seeing the state his friends were in. "Let them go or else..." He demanded once more.
"Or else what, huh? Set them ablaze." Alonzo commanded the guards, unaffected by Shane's threat.
The guard did as he was instructed. The piercing screams of the assasins was soon heard as the fire burnt their bodies to crisp.
Shane let out an agonizing scream. "Noooo." He wept bitterly as he watched them being burnt to death right in front of his eyes.
He shook his head continuously as the tears poured down his cheeks. Before drawing her last breath, Stella mouthed the words, 'I'll always love you.' to him. Those words alone broke him to pieces.
