At first daylight, Casper made sure to check up on both Satia and Dawn.
He had gone to see Satia first, and was pleased to see some improvements in her health.
He spent some time with Satia before going to check on Dawn. He felt there was no need to actually take care of her since the poison was now flowing through her veins.
He had already concluded that she had no chance of survival, but the royal family all insisted on having her watched over.
Casper received the greatest shock of his life when he walked into the guest room, and found Dawn awake.
He stared at her for a long time with his mouth forming an 'O' shape. He wanted to scream, but couldn't find the right words.
"How long have I been out?" She asked in an inaudible voice.
"Not... not long." Casper stuttered, still shocked to his bones.
