Xavier and the rest of the wounded soldiers were carried back to the castle. Due to the means used in carrying Xavier, and how weak the other soldiers were, it took them three days to get to the castle.
"What's wrong with the prince?" Prime minister Alonzo questioned the moment he saw Xavier being carried on a stretcher.
"He broke his back." Bayne gave a brief explanation as he carried Xavier to his room.
"Why the fuck do I have to go through all these? First Satia, then Liam, and now Xavier?" Daria wailed as she rushed to meet Xavier in his room.
Since Liam left, she had not stepped foot out of her room, but she quickly rushed out when Zerys came to deliver the news of what happened to Xavier.
"Calm down mom. He'll be fine." Zerys tried to calm Daria down, but she wailed louder like a little child.
