Three ghosts were strolling through the streets one day when they encountered God! They explained to God that they had all died quite miserably and hoped to enter heaven. God, looking rather helpless, informed them that heaven was overcrowded with residents, but there was still one vacancy. They needed to share their stories, and the one who had the most pitiful death would be allowed into heaven.
The first ghost began, "In my previous life, I was a janitor. It was hard work, always busy from dawn to dusk. One day, I was cleaning the windows on the exterior of a tall building, suspended by ropes, on the 30th floor. Suddenly, I slipped and fell. I thought I was done for, but instinctively, I grabbed onto a balcony railing on the 13th floor. I thought I was saved and decided to climb up after catching my breath. However, someone yanked my hand, and I fell again. I thought, 'Now I'm truly done for!' But fate had other plans; there was a tent below that caught me. I thanked my past life for accumulating good karma, thinking I'd wait to recover and descend. But, unexpectedly, a refrigerator fell from above, and it crushed me to death."
The second ghost followed, saying, "I was an office clerk in my previous life. Everything was fine, and I had a beautiful, well-proportioned wife. But she had a penchant for infidelity. I had a mild heart condition and one day, I forgot to take my medication. I went back home from work to get it. When I entered the house, I found my wife disheveled and in disarray. I was certain there was an affair going on. I searched the whole house, including the kitchen and bathroom, but found nothing. Finally, I went to the balcony and saw two hands gripping the railing. I thought, 'An adulterer!' So, I yanked the hands, thinking, 'It's the 13th floor; let's see if you survive this fall!' To my surprise, he survived, caught by a tent. I was frustrated, so I searched the entire house again, including the kitchen. I saw the refrigerator, so I threw it off, finally crushing him to death. I was so overjoyed that I burst into laughter, but the laughter gave me a heart attack, and I died."
The third ghost shared, "I was a bit of a rogue in my past life, but I hadn't done anything terrible. One day, I was visiting a female friend's house, and after we finished our business, her husband suddenly returned. I needed to find a hiding spot, so I searched the kitchen, the bathroom, and eventually found that they had a large refrigerator. So, I climbed inside the refrigerator to hide. I didn't understand how her husband discovered I was inside the fridge, but he threw it off the 13th floor. I ended up falling along with the fridge, and that's how I met my end."
This humorous story revolves around three ghosts sharing their absurd and unfortunate deaths in a playful manner.
