Beta Eddy rushed towards the old man and held him. He lifted the lifeless body, placing it against him. He was so angry with Kara.
"Do you ever take instructions?"
He thundered. His voice was cold and firm.
He lifted his head to meet Kara who was already on her way out. This had infuriated him.
"Are you deaf?"
He thundered. His loud masculine voice sent brations into the air. The half empty house echoed, creating more tension in the atmosphere.
Kara was startled. Her feet stopped abruptly and she slowly turned to face Beta Eddy. She could understand the tone of the voice, she knew it was no longer time for a joke.
"We don't have all the time Eddy."
Her voice was calm. This time her head was beginning to reset because she knew that the Beta Eddy she knew had two sides, and she was about to meet the cruel side if she didn't behave herself. He was still their leader, and she knew she must respect that.
