Vetten had a glowing white ax in both hands, and he thought, 'I'll end this.'
Kaede said, "Shit."
Vettan opens the battle with a swift throw of his axes, slicing through the air towards Kaede. The cat responds with Tail of the Tempest, the red and black fire from his tail intercepting the axes. The impact sends both combatants skidding backwards, a balanced exchange of power.
Vettan and Kaede thought at the same time, 'He's strong..'
Using his Leap of Lunacy, Kaede disappears, only to reappear atop a nearby structure. He launches a barrage of fire from his elevated position. Vettan, however, anticipates this and summons his warriors of light. They form a protective barrier around him, absorbing the fiery onslaught while Vettan lands a hit on Kaede with a well-aimed throw of his axes. Vettan harnesses his light magic, causing his axes to radiate with blinding light. Kaede, undeterred, activates his Eyes of the Eclipse, plunging the area into darkness. Confused, Vettan swings wildly, clipping Kaede's flank. Kaede, however, capitalizes on Vettan's disorientation and lands a powerful swipe of his fiery tail. Vettan charges, axes in hand, summoning his warriors to flank him. Kaede, prepared, activates his Scarlet and Obsidian Resonance, his body glowing with intimidating energy. They clash in the middle, Kaede's enhanced power allowing him to hold his own against Vettan's assault, both landing blows on each other.
Kaede thought, 'Ow! Ow! This elf man…he's insane! How can I win with the power I have?!'
Vettan thought, 'Aww. The cat is giving a worried look on its face. I'll continue to unleash hell on this animal, overwhelm him.'
Vettan throws his axes, which split into multiple copies, surrounding Kaede. The cat leaps high into the air, using Leap of Lunacy to escape the encirclement, and in the same motion, sends a storm of fire down on Vettan. The commander deflects most of the flames with his light shield but one slips through, scorching him. However, as Kaede lands, one of the axes clips his leg, the light magic searing his fur.
Vetten slid on the floor, spun upward, thinking, 'He's fast..as expected. And his balance is unmatched, due to the fact that he is a four legged cat..'
Vettan's axes glow with a radiant light, the magic within them causing the ground to tremble. He slams them into the ground, sending a wave of light energy towards Kaede. The cat counters with a defensive barrier of fire, but the force of the impact sends him skidding backward, hissing in pain. Vettan, however, is left open to Kaede's retaliation. He sends a concentrated bolt of fire, landing a direct hit on Vettan.
Kaede, his body glowing with Scarlet and Obsidian Resonance, charges at Vettan. The commander summons his warriors, who intercept the cat. Kaede, however, uses his Eyes of the Eclipse, casting the battlefield into darkness. He takes out several warriors before the light returns and one of them lands a hit. At the same time, Kaede manages to swipe his tail at Vettan, the flames scorching the commander.
Vettan charges at Kaede, his axes leaving trails of light in their wake. Kaede's tail whips up a storm of fire, blocking Vettan's charge. However, Vettan's axes cut through the fire, landing a hit on Kaede. The cat retaliates with a swift Leap of Lunacy, reappearing behind Vettan and raking his claws across Vettan's back.
Kaede thought, 'Is my tail actually too fast for people?'
Vettan said, "That tail's speed is quicker than my axes can swing. If u apply more magic to my attacks, I'll be drained quicker. It's a must. Catch this dirty cat off guard!'
Vettan launches his axes, their light magic causing them to home in on Kaede. The cat, however, uses his Leap of Lunacy to evade, reappearing behind Vettan. He sends a burst of fire at Vettan, who barely manages to deflect it with a hastily summoned light shield. The force of the deflection, however, sends Vettan stumbling forward, and Kaede seizes the opportunity to land a hit with his tail.
Vettan summons a massive warrior of light, its form towering over both of them. Kaede, undeterred, builds a tempest of fire around him, the flames growing higher and hotter. He charges, clashing with the light warrior. Both land hits, but Kaede's flames eventually overwhelm the warrior, causing it to dissipate. Both Kaede and Vettan are left panting, their respective hits taking a toll on each other.
Vettan slashed at Kaede, but Kaede flipped over Vettan, wrapped his tail around Vettan's neck, made black and red flames ablaze ferociously, spun around, and slammed Vettan's face into the floor, causing a loud thud.
The elves watching worked up a sweat, curious of how this battle would turn out.
The King and Queen thought, 'He was able to finish off Vettan? A man who is notorious for hunting high ranked mythic beasts?'
Kaede thought with a smile, 'Did I win??! Am I this good?! It felt so natural-!'
Both of Vettan's axes spun around and cut Kaede in half.
Kaede gasped, "Huh?"
Vettan was standing up slowly, saying, "You got too cocky, cat. Due to your speed and agility and balance being better than mine, I had to keep pulling you in close, daring that you would perform some kind of feat that allows you to actually pin me to the ground, making us both stationary for just a second. I caught you when you least expected it."
Kaede thought, 'Damn…that was badass. And pretty smart. Damn brute..'
Kaede was split in half, his body sprawled out on the floor, and blood leaking.
Vettan kneeled to the king and queen and said, "This battle has concluded, your highness."
King Elrond stood up with Queen Luthien, holding her hand.
Elrond stated, "Although the cat seemed to have put up a good fight, he was easily manipulated into close range ground combat. As expected of Vettan's expertises and war background.
Vettan said, "I thank you, your majesty."
Queen Luthien added, "Shall we clean the mythic beast up?"
Prince Earendil was standing beside his sister, Princess Arwen.
Earendil whispered, "It can't be over right?"
Arwen replied, "…It might..be…"
"There's something about that cat…"
"Huh..I'm sleepy…"
As Vettan was walking away with a smirk, he thought, 'You fought well, kitten, but it wasn't enough.'
In a dark void, Kaede was floating in it with an angry look, and he was floating in front of the giant mythical lion.
Kaede said, "I know I know. I messed up. That big brute beat me! I should've seen it! He was luring me in close the entire fight, hoping I would do a move like that to where we both are standing still for a few seconds! The more he lured me through the fight, the more comfortable I got getting close! Dammmit! Look, cat to cat, I'm ready for another chance. I shall defeat that bastard!"
The lion responded, "Uh..I was gonna give it to you anyway. You have 7 lives left."
"Oh. Shit. My bad. SEVEN?"
"Yes."
"What happens if I reach one?"
"You're done forever. But each death, you get more powerful."
"That's..a win and a loss at the same time. I bet I'll be like you once I reach one, am I right?"
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that."
"What and who really are you-?"
"-Sending you back."
"WOWWWWW!"
Back in the battle room, Kaede's body was restored fast, and cackling black and red lightning and flames swirled around him like a typhoon.
The royal family, Vettan, and the council, gasped, saying:
"I-Impossible!"
"He was killed with light weapons! Celestial god weapons!"
"How?!"
"What is that cat?"
"No mythic beast has survived Vettan's axes of light! No matter what rank!"
Vettan turned around, "His power…it's rising! You dare mock Vettan the Almighty by rising again to face me?"
Kaede had four glowing red horns now, and he had two tails now.
He smiled, "Oh Yeah what kind of badass power do I have now?"
Kaede coughed, and said, "OMF! What the hell? A furball?!"
Kaede's eyes glowed red, "Netherball…"
Kaede transformed into a basketball sized furball, but it was covered in black and red flames, black and red lightning, and wind.
Vettan said, "This changes nothing! I'll finish you off like last time!"
Kaede, the furball of red and black lightning, zips around the battlefield at a dizzying speed. Vettan struggles to keep track of him. Suddenly, Kaede ricochets off an outcrop and slams into Vettan, the impact sending shockwaves of flames across the terrain.
Kaede, as a blazing furball, uses his immense speed to race up a cliff face. He launches himself off the top, descending onto Vettan like a meteor. The resultant explosion of energy sends Vettan sprawling, his light armor sizzling from the heat. Vettan, in an attempt to trap Kaede, creates a maze of light barriers. Kaede, in his furball form, zips through the maze, leaving a trail of black and red lightning that shatters the barriers. He crashes into Vettan from an unexpected angle, sending the commander flying.
As Vettan summons a battalion of light warriors, Kaede, a lightning furball, bolts through their ranks, creating fiery explosions upon contact. The battlefield is soon ablaze, and Vettan finds himself face-to-face with Kaede, who slams into him with a devastating force. Kaede races around Vettan in tight circles, creating a cyclone of dark flames and lightning. The cyclone engulfs Vettan, disorienting him. Kaede then slams into Vettan, sending him flying out of the cyclone and onto the scorched ground.
Vettan launches his radiant axes towards Kaede. The feline furball, moving at light speed, veers around the axes, creating a trail of black and red lightning. The axes are pulled into the lightning vortex, and Kaede uses this opening to slam into Vettan, the impact echoing across the battlefield. Vettan attempts to trap Kaede within a dome of light. Kaede, however, zips around the interior of the dome so fast that he creates a destructive storm of fire and lightning. The dome shatters, and Kaede crashes into the stunned Vettan, blasting him all over the room.
Kaede races across the battlefield, his lightning and fire igniting the floor. As Vettan is distracted by the encroaching flames, Kaede seizes the opportunity and slams into him, the force sending Vettan skidding across the charred ground. Vettan, desperate, gathers all his light energy into a single, powerful beam aimed at Kaede. The furball of lightning, however, zips towards the beam, then veers upward at the last moment. He then descends onto the unsuspecting Vettan, the impact causing a brilliant explosion of light, fire, and lightning.
Vettan panicked, saying to himself, "That speed! That power! I can't keep up with it!"
As Kaede darted past Vettan, Vettan tried to smash his axes into Kaede, but Kaede's furball form destroyed the axes of light completely, making the entire room gasp again.
"He destroyed them!"
Queen Lúthien thought, 'That symbol on the cat's head..it's glowing a brighter red. I must look into that.'
Vettan was in the air, and Kaede was blasting against him from all directions, causing the entire room to shake. Vettan said, "AUGHHHHH!"
'I can't break out of it!'
Just then, Kaede smashed into Vettan's stomach, and smashed his back into the ground. Loud winds blasted, and the gasps continued.
"Is he dead…?"
"No…"
Kaede was walking towards Vettan, grinning, "Now then..what were you saying?"
Vettan sat up, spitting blood out of his mouth, and said, "Finish me. I lost."
Everyone looked, wanting to see what Kaede would actually do.
Kaede was out of his furball form, and he reached his paw towards Vettan.
Kaede lightly poked Vettan's nose, saying, "Boop."
Vettan gasped, "But why?"
"I'm not a bad cat. I'm a FRIEND. I fought those stupid shadow people too. You be an trust me. I bet that's why this ritual thing is happening right now."
Vettan said, "T-That paw touch!"
Vettan was flustered, due to the fact that he couldn't contain himself when it came to adorable things happening around him.
Vettan grabbed Kaede, and said, "DO IT AGAIN!"
Kaede replied, "You're crushing me, elf brute!"
King Elrond sighed, "Ugh. Here he goes again. He goes crazy when anything adorable is around him. His baby fever is even worse."
Queen Lúthien said to Kaede, "Now that we know your true intentions, you shall take a walk with me and my husband, king Elrond."
Kaede responded, "HAHA! I KNEW IT WAS A TEST!"
"We are extra cautious when it comes to accepting newcomers. Anyone could be working for that dreadful Eolande. Now come. And Vettan, let the cat go."
Vettan sighed, and released Kaede.
Vettan stood up, with a serious face, saying, "Your wish is my command, my queen. I shall scout the perimeters and seek out any hostiles that dares to thwart our insight."
