Even if he will be staying for a long time in the cultivation plane, having a home in Shirenje town was not bad either, he will be comfortable knowing that he has a home back in this place. A home where he can pop up in, instead of popping up in the streets or the beach where he popped up the last time.
"Nakba, teleport me to the cultivation plane!" Lazy Wafula ordered Nakba without hesitation.
The impalpable interface showed up and Lazy Wafula clicked the [ teleport me ] avatar without hesitation. The remaining ten energy points in his quest account were used up instantly. Right now he didn't have any single energy point remaining.
A whirlwind formed in front of him which then sucked him in, taking him directly to the undead cultivation plane.
Lazy Wafula walked out of his cabin and headed to the woods. The group which had wanted to teach him a lesson was still not around and as for Fay Wesonga, that guy had not fixed everything with his family, so he will not be showing Lazy Wafula around this day.
Just like that, Lazy Wafula trudged into the woods his destination being, the Destroyed Fate mountains. Last time they didn't reach their destination as they were ambushed prematurely by the Wood Rivers but this time round, Lazy Wafula was adamant about reaching closer to or in the Destroyed Fate mountains.
Lazy Wafula was not in a hurry to get to his destination and because he was now alone, the trees in this cultivation plane piqued his interest so much. These trees were like beasts in that they can eat, talk and feel. unlike the trees of planet Earth. It was just that these trees were immovable which made them different from beasts.
While Lazy Wafula was still observing the trees with a relaxed comportment, he caught something from the corner of his eyes. One should know that the undead cultivation plane was always darkness with the only source of light coming from the three moons on the sky.
The darkness of course, won't hinder those cultivators with the dark attribute like Lazy Wafula whom as expected, can see clearly in this darkness. This darkness had made the trees in this plane to have foliage of different colors making the forest vibrant and enthralling.
The colourful trees were not what caught the attention of Lazy Wafula, it was a piercing glare that jolted him. If one was not careful, they wouldn't have seen where the glaring was coming from because the being that was glaring at Lazy Wafula was very camouflaged with the surrounding foliage.
He didn't knew if it was the trees that were hiding the beast or it was merely a coincidence, he didn't knew. But he was not daunted just because of that, on the contrary, he was happy inside but he didn't allow it to show on his face. He came here to hunt beasts if they show themselves like this, then his mission would be easier to accomplish.
The area where Lazy Wafula was, was slightly far away from where they fought the Wood Rivers. The trees in this area were grey in colour and even the earth was also grey. Lazy Wafula didn't knew if it was the earth which had made the trees to be grey or it was just how they were supposed to be, innately. It may even be the trees that had changed the earth to grey, who knows?
Lazy Wafula didn't even flinch his muscles slightly. He remained cold and indifferent. His expression that he would usually put on. He pretended to have not seen the beast and continued inspecting the trees around. The trees themselves were stiff the way normal trees should be, they let him stroke their leaves as he like as they pretended to be "dead."
The beast that was stalking him was a 2.5metre tall humanoid beast with a big head and a thin torso. It had two big eyes which took almost the entire part of its face.
Moreover, the skin of the beast was grey just like the trees in the surrounding. What interested Lazy Wafula about this beast was its mouth which was elastic as it swayed from side to side, and the lips woven together by thin ligaments.
Only small gaps were left between these ligaments which allowed the audience to see vaguely its toothless jaws. In addition, the beast had a very long skinny hands and legs which had little flesh which was merely working as a hide than anything. What interested Lazy Wafula was not the "beauty" of those appendages but the disguised sword intent in them. Those appendages were like weapons than tools for locomotion.
In the meantime, the beast which thought that Lazy Wafula had not seen it moved stealthy towards its prey. As it plodded, one may disorient its walking with flight because no dust or fallen leaves on the ground were perturbed. It was like it had never walked on them in the first place.
Using the trees as its cover, it reached to where Lazy Wafula was in no time.
