With a heavy sigh, Zephyrion lamented, "Ah, it's truly agonizing and cruel to be born into this world without the talent to practice martial arts or wield the power of magic."
Zephyrion couldn't help but feel a little twinge of sympathy for Yashin, although Zephyrion had been a cold-hearted assassin, void of emotions, and a harbinger of death. Now that he inhabited Yashin body, a sense of duty compelled him to redeem the lost soul within.
After avenging Yashin's death, he believed his purpose had been fulfilled, and he no longer needed to bear additional burdens.
As Zephyrion gazed upon the two lifeless bodies on the ground, a distant memory stirred. He recalled the faint, echoing ding that had sounded the moment he killed them. "Shouldn't I be earning experience points for this?"
He wondered aloud. "In most novels I've read, systems typically bestow experience points for killing both monsters and humans right?."
"System!" Zephyrion immediately shouted in his mind.

"Hey there, system! I distinctly remember earning a generous 400 experience points. So, why does my experience stat now display 100 and with that mysterious minus sign? Zephyrion inquired, a puzzled expression gracing his face
["Previously, you came to me seeking aid, and I kindly bestowed upon you the power to harness your past life's strength for a fleeting 30 seconds. Originally priced at 1000 coins, I realised you are so poor and pathetic and generously extended it as a special bonus offer for only 500 coins. Following the successful completion of the main quest and the elimination of those two boys, you gained a remarkable 400 experience points. However, as it stands, you currently have no coins, and after subtracting the 500 coins you owe me from your experience points, you're still in debt to me by 100 experience points."]
The system cold robotic voice sounded.
"You... You... You!" Zephyrion was left utterly speechless, his body tremble and his emotions roiling within like a tempest, as he struggled to find the right words to express his turmoil.
[Can't understand what you are trying to say host]
"You're utterly shameless, the most shameless system I've ever encountered, scamming me of my hard-earned experience points," Zephyrion declared, his eyes now ablaze with frustration.
Initially, he'd been filled with joy at the prospect of leveling up, eager to enhance his strength. But now, this system.....
Zephyrion exclaimed loudly, "What sort of system is this? While others have systems that aid their hosts in becoming stronger, mine seems determined to have me dead just minutes after our first encounter!"
[You don't have to worry host, since I choose you as the host, I will naturally make you stronger. That is, if you didn't die along the way of course]
"Fuck you! It's your own family that will die and even your generation." Zephyrion was furious and didn't bother to waste his time on the system anymore.
He closed the status screen and look around the jungle and to the cloud, he noticed that the sky was getting dark. "I should return home before night fell, I still need to complete the daily quest."
With a skillful twist of his body, Zephyrion flew in the air and landed on the ground with a bang. Although his body was weak, he would still perform some basic skills.
"Should I bury this two corpse? Anyways, nobody saw them carrying me into the jungle, I should just leave them here, it's none of my business." Zephyrion said with his gaze on the two lifeless figure.
With a step forward, he followed the trail left behind by the two bullies when they ventured deep into the jungle.
Having lived the life of an assassin in the past, tracking footprints was a trivial task for him. What's more, the two young lads had made no effort to erase or hide their footprints.
In just about an hour, Zephyrion emerged from the jungle, guided by the faint recollection of his memories, as he made his way towards Yashin's cozy home.
While strolling down the bustling streets, Zephyrion couldn't resist gazing at the world he reincarnated into, astonished at the profound similarities it shared with Earth, but yet different, and greatly advance than Earth.
The structures were exactly like Earth's architecture, yet they were very tall and crafted from an unknown alloy.
The streets bustled with automobiles, and occasionally, sleek space cars zipped through the skies without pause.
Convenient portals were scattered across various spots, offering pedestrians the opportunity to move from street to street.
In spite of his blood-stained clothing, no one gave him a second glance or asked about his situation, as they sense him as just another person without the talent to practice any art.
Even those as ordinary as him chose to remain oblivious to his presence. "It seems walking on the streets with blood all over is quite a common thing in this world," He thought.
If was after twenty minutes later that Zephyrion manage to find his new home, from the outside, it look like a beautiful apartment and it also has a garden.
"It seem like Yashin parent guild were really taking good care of him, huh."
Zephyrion attempted to open the door but realized it was locked. "Ah, f*ck, I don't even have a key on me. It must have been lost during the scuffle when those two rascals were busy attacking Yashin."
Zephyrion's keen eyes scanned his surroundings in search of any sharp objects that might serve as his key to unlocking the door.
As a skilled ninja assassin, Zephyrion had learnt this skill from five years old. So the art of opening doors held no challenge for him.
Zephyrion was quick to find two sharp tiny object and without wasting time, he insert it into the door keyhole.
Like that, ten long minutes passed but the door stubbornly refused to yield, and Zephyrion found himself drenched in sweat.
Frustration welled up within him as he muttered, "Who in the world crafted this door? Back on Earth, the most time-consuming normal door I encountered took a mere five minutes to open. Now, ten minutes had passed, and it shows no sign of budging!"
Twenty-five long minutes slowly ticked by, and the door remained stubborn in its refusal to yield.
Zephyrion's legs was already trembling with exhaustion, but his skills didn't fail, and at last, with a satisfying click, the door swung open.
"Ahhhhh! If this were a mission, and I've wasted so much time struggling with a darn door, I fear how I'd meet my end," Zephyrion exclaimed in astonishment, realizing that even a simple door in this world presented a greater challenge than those on Earth.
Zephyrion stepped into the house, flicking on the light switch, and the living room sprang to life in an instant.
The living area exuded a welcoming charm, adorned with a television and three soft sofas.
However, without a second pause, Zephyrion made a move for the bedroom, not even taking a glance at the kitchen and other rooms.
His sole desire at that moment was to nestle into a restful night's slumber and complete his daily quest.
"Click" The bedroom bathed in warm light, revealing a space as neat and clean as the living room. Not even a speck of dust could be found.
Zephyrion was busy looking around around the room, checking it out.
In the room, there stood a bed, a computer setup, a wardrobe, a substantial mirror, and an object in the corner that resembled a virtual reality gaming machine.
"Not bad... Not bad at all," Zephyrion mused with a hint of satisfaction. It appeared that Yashin have a comfortable life at least.
All that remained to make his life truly complete was the opportunity to cultivate his talents in martial or magic art.
Without hesitation, Zephyrion remove his blood-stained garments and gracefully slipped into the room's bathroom.
After a brief moment, Zephyrion emerged from the bathroom and strolled over to the wardrobe. His steps faltered as he spotted the computer resting nearby.
"Tomorrow is the day I will search the internet about this world, a world where even the power I once held in my past life pales in comparison to the abilities of its inhabitants." Zephyrion muttered slowly.
After a brief search for Yashin's pajamas within the wardrobe, Zephyrion swiftly slipped into them, then gracefully nestled into the inviting embrace of the bed.
"Goodnight, my shameless system," Zephyrion whispered in his thoughts, waiting for the system's reply. However, after a long time on without receiving a response, he shrugged it off without any concerns, embracing slumber without a second thought.
It was only after Zephyrion had drifted into a deep slumber that the system finally responded.
["Goodnight, my very useless host."]
If Zephyrion could hear the system's tone at that moment, he would have been left utterly astonished and taken aback, for the system had sounded like a human-like voice, not in it usual robotic tone.
