In a wide field, where the fight between Lucca, Anthony, and David persisted, echoes of clashes filled the air. Swords collided with shields, magic was cast into the atmosphere, and the sound of the conflict resonated across the plain.
Anthony, wearing a furious expression, questioned David, "Are you really not going to reveal who hired you?" The betrayal and attempted murder still haunted his thoughts.
David, sarcastic, responded, "Again with this? It seems you've turned into a parrot. Are you afraid of me? Do you think you can't handle me?" As he spoke, he smiled, continuing his attacks towards Anthony.
Lucca, vigilant, intervened whenever he noticed Anthony at a disadvantage, attacking David and forcing him to defend, interrupting potentially harmful strikes.
The battle persisted, with tension in the air and the protagonists engaged in a deadly dance, each move crucial to the imminent outcome.
David charged at Anthony, but this time with a completely different objective. Delivering horizontal attacks, Anthony defended himself with his shield, waiting for an opportunity to counter-attack. However, the mistake came from Anthony, being thrown backward, unbalanced, and turned away from his adversary.
Seeing this, Lucca cast a fireball towards David, trying to prevent him from taking advantage of disarming Anthony to inflict damage. Unfortunately, that wasn't David's true goal.
Upon noticing the opening, David simulated a vertical attack towards Anthony, causing Lucca to fall into the trap. While Lucca cast a spell anticipating the attack on Anthony, David revealed it was just a feint, immediately launching himself at Lucca.
"fuck!" exclaimed Lucca upon realizing he had been deceived by David, and that he had been the true target all along. In reaction, he began to run, seeking a way to position himself behind Anthony and restore the status quo, as engaging in melee combat against a swordsman would be challenging.
"Try to run, you coward!" shouted Anthony, visibly guilty for letting David escape, chasing after Lucca.
"Fire pillar!" yelled Lucca, activating his ability beneath his feet in an attempt to gain distance and reach Anthony, as David prevented him from getting close to protect him.
However, this attempt failed as David arrived in time, avoiding Lucca's ability. He even mocked Lucca for the failure: "Nice try, failure."
Lucca managed a brief smile at the insult, but the joy was short-lived. Immediately after, David taunted again, saying, "Gotcha!" and delivered a horizontal attack to Lucca's back, cutting him deeply.

Lucca, experiencing intense pain, cried out but kept running, as it was the only way to stay alive. This time, he threw a "fuck it" to David's life, turned toward him, and launched a lightning bolt in his direction.

Seeing the damage Lucca dealt to David, he thought to himself, 'Someone has to debuff this damn magic resistance!'
Lucca's attack provided enough time for Anthony to get close and strike David with his shield, who was already gearing up to attack Lucca again. With his arm raised, Anthony's shield hit David's arm, unbalancing him and causing him to fall.
David quickly got up, but this time, Anthony was in front of him, stating with determination, "This time, you won't escape!" He didn't want to repeat the same mistake of letting David get away. Right after uttering those words, he executed a horizontal attack towards David.
However, David defended himself, but shortly after, a fireball headed towards him. Despite dodging it, David didn't pay much attention to Anthony, who was already prepared to counter-attack.
Anthony noticed that David veered to the right and seized the opportunity to attack him with his sword, disarming him with a horizontal strike.
David's sword fell, and upon seeing this, he dove to retrieve it. However, Lucca was prepared and hurled a rock towards the sword. David tried to regain his weapon when a rock nearly hit his hand, but he pulled it away just in time.
Losing valuable time, Anthony anticipated and thrust his sword into David's back. Realizing that the situation was under control, Lucca expressed his revenge, saying, "Looks like we're the ones who caught you!" with a sarcastic smile.
David grinned, but before he could respond, Anthony shouted, "Who ordered me to kill? Huh! Answer, damn it!" He displayed clear anger and even kicked David's face out of frustration.
"Those questions aren't your business to ask!" replied a voice from afar. Both looked behind, remaining on guard with fearful expressions.
