Chapter 35 - The choice of a club

"I want to see what happens to the book!" Lucca exclaimed.

"What do I need to do?" William asked.

"You just need to read and understand as far as I know," Lucca replied.

"Just that?" William questioned suspiciously.

"Shut up and give it a try!" Lucca responded with a smile.

William started reading and flipping through the pages.

'Please don't disappear! Please don't disappear!' Lucca began to think to himself, adopting a praying position with his hands clasped near his mouth.

It took William about 2 minutes to reach the end of the book. As soon as he finished reading, he received a message from the system.

{You have learned a new skill: Shadow Walker}

"It's done! I've learned it," William announced.

Yes! The son of a bitch of the book didn't disappear!" said Lucca, happily jumping

"Can you see anything in the book?" he asked.

"No," replied William as he flipped through the pages.

"Let me see."

Hearing this, William handed the book to Lucca. He looked at the cover, but since nothing appeared, he started flipping through the entire book and thought to himself, 'I thought a notification or something would appear, but nothing! Ori, any explanation?' he asked Lucca.

(Put the book in your inventory!)

'Okay,' and he stored it. Seeing the book disappear, William asked, "How are you storing the book when you don't even have a storage ring?" he asked, suspicious.

"Because I don't need a ring! I have my own inventory!" Lucca revealed.

William fell silent for a few seconds until he shouted, "What?"

Hearing William, Lucca made the wait gesture to him because he was talking to Ori.

(Try taking the book out of the inventory!) Ori said.

Lucca tried more than three times, but nothing happened. 'It doesn't work.'

(As I thought! Go to the inventory and click on the book.)

Lucca opened the inventory and clicked on the book. As soon as he did that, a system message appeared right in front of him.

{This item can only be used again in 30 days. Do you want to continue?}

'No!' Lucca replied to the system, and the message disappeared. 'So, we have our answer.'

(Every 30 days, we can teach this skill to someone. It's a quite aggressive usage condition in case you want to have many subordinates!) analyzed Ori.

'Yes, you're right, but I think it's quite fair.'

"Hey! Hey! Are you listening to me?" William asked.

"Speak!" Lucca said.

"What do you mean, you have an inventory?"

"Oh, did I say that right?" Lucca asked. 'I was so distracted with Ori that I didn't even think about what I was saying!'

"(now it's my fault, right)

... Lucca just ignored.

"Yes, you said it!" replied William.

"I swear I'll answer your questions! But not in the best place, we're almost at the academy!" Lucca said to dodge William's questions.

"Alright, alright, one day you'll have to tell me all your secrets, you know that, right?"

"I know!"

After some time, they reached the academy, and Lucca and William said their goodbyes.

The next day, Lucca woke up a bit late again and went to the cafeteria to see if he could find Alice and Ana.

Approaching the cafeteria, with the map open, he managed to see Alice and Ana inside and did the same thing as the day before, but this time, Ana didn't make a joke.

"Lucca, have you joined a club?" a girl from the group asked. She had red eyes and silver hair.

"Not yet!" Lucca revealed.

"Are you kidding me?" Alice said in a considerable volume.

"No!" He replied.

"Once you finish eating, I'll take you there!" She said.

"Sure, mom!" Lucca replied with a teasing look. The whole table laughed at his response.

After finishing their meal, Lucca, Alice, and Ana separated from the girls' group and went to the front of the school to the garden facing the academy.

But on the way, Lucca asked, "What types of clubs are there? Are they more relaxed or more focused on studying?"

Alice answered first, "Well, we actually have a variety of clubs. Some are more relaxed, like the Duel and Betting Club. Others are more academic, like the Divination and Herbology Club."

Lucca nodded, absorbing the information. "That sounds interesting."

They finally arrived at the garden and found several tents spread across the street. Lucca decided to take a look at all the clubs first before talking to the representatives of each club's

"Any tips?" Lucca asked the two.

"What do you like?" Ana asked.

"I like making money!" He replied.

"Anything else?" Ana asked, looking confused.

"Oh, I like managing things, magic, and negotiating!"

"Maybe the Gambling Club, the Duel Club, or magic-related clubs like Divination, Alchemy, etc..." Alice suggested.

"Just for reference, what clubs did both of you choose?" Lucca asked.

Ana was the first to respond and said, "I joined the Tea Party Club!"

"Why?" Lucca asked, not understanding why someone in a magical world would choose such a club.

"Because that way, I know the academy's major gossip!" Ana replied with a smile.

Lucca also smiled and started looking at Alice. Seeing this, she said, "For the Student Council!"

What? Lucca said with his mouth open and continued, "We messed with the council a few days ago, and now you're going to sign up there?"

"That's right!" She replied.
