Lian shook his head and turned to leave when Ding grabbed his hand. Lian tried to wretch his hand from his grip but Ding only tightened his grip.
"You are coming with me."
"H- hey!"
Ignoring him, Ding walked heading towards the house pulling Lian along with him. The guards stood watching them for a while before shrugging and following after the two. Tsun anxiously paced up and down by the door. Ding had run out of the room without warning and he was worried about what had caused him to act so rash. Tsun knew Ding better than anyone, they may have been non related by blood but he still cared for him like he would his own blood brother.
"Young master? What are you doing out here, weren't you with father?"
Tsun turned towards the source of the sound and hurriedly walked up to him.
"What happened? Why did you run away so fast?"
"Young master… that's…"
Ding looked at Lian and it was enough for Tsun to analyse the situation.
"Oh… your man left… did you seriously have to be so dramatic about it? I was worried you know!" Tsun said and playfully slapped Ding's back," you had me worried for a bit there."
"Forgive me young master, I worried you again."
"Again? What does he mean by again?" Lian thought to himself.
"Hmm?"
Tsun's gaze moved from Ding and landed on Lian who was hidden behind Ding's tall frame.
"What are you doing hiding behind Ding? Come on out," he said and pulled him away from Ding," where did you run off to giving Ding such a scare?"
"He didn't give me a scare Tsun, stop imagining things."
"Oh? It's been a while since you last called me that. Now am curious as to what this guy means to you," Tsun replied enjoying himself.
"He means nothing to me young master. Quit your delirious thoughts already."
"Can you two not talk about me as if am not here?" Lian asked already fed up with everything.
"Right, sorry come with me, father wants to meet you."
"Me?"
"Him?"
Both Ding and Lian looked at him with confused expressions on their faces and Tsun chuckled.
"Why are you two sounding and looking so confused?"
"Well, I don't know, maybe the thought of the main mafia boss requesting for me is kind of strange?"
"What's so strange about that?"
"Your dad won't kill me right? He IS a mafia boss after all."
Tsun looked at him a smile playing on his lips," He may be a mafia boss but he is a rational person."
"Um.. am not quite sure I believe that."
"Enough chit chat, we do not want dad waiting for us now do we? He absolutely detests those who don't keep time," Tsun said ignoring what Lian just said," come on."
Lian gulped and chuckled nervously," Lead the way."
Tsun nodded and walked ahead Lian following behind him. Ding stood for a moment watching the two walk away. Feeling a pair of eyes on his back, Tsun turned around and waved for Ding to follow him.
"I will be with you in a few," he said and turned and walked away.
"Hmm.."
"Is everything okay?"
Tsun shook his head and smiled," Of course. Right this way."
They walked for a few minutes before stopping by a huge door. Tsun knocked on the door once and pushed it open. Lian took in deep breathes to steady himself before walking in after Tsun.
"You're here."
"Father," Tsun said and bowed his head in respect.
"Oh.. um.. hello sir," Lian said following Tsun's bowing gesture.
"Don't be so nervous. It's not like I can harm you."
"Y- yes sir," he replied his eyes fixed on the ground.
Lian did not know how to act around big bosses not to mention this guy was a mafia boss. He could easily have his head cut off or his existence wiped from the world if he wished to do so. The thought made him involuntarily shiver and he tried to clear these thoughts from his mind. Tsun noticed this and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Don't look so stressed out," he whispered and Lian nodded.
Of course Tsun would not know how anxious he was. After all, he was part of a mafia group. Lian looked at Tsun and got lost in his beautiful yet determined eyes. Tsun caught him staring and he shuffled his hair playfully.
"Am I that handsome? You were staring pretty hard right now."
Lian scoffed and moved Tsun's hand from his shoulder," Who was staring?"
Tsun sighed and smiled before mumbling," You two really have a resemblance."
"Pardon? Did you say something?" Lian asked and Tsun shook his head in denial.
Lian looked at him for a few seconds before shaking his head.
"Well how was he?"
"For one thing, he totally is different from what I pictured a mafia boss to be," Lian replied and Tsun laughed.
"I like you already."
Lian smiled at this before answering," I like you too. You are much easier to get along with compared to Ding."
"He's always had a hard time expressing his emotions."
"No kidding but still, he is a mafia leader, am pretty sure you aren't supposed to be expressive," Lian replied and automatically covered his mouth with his hand,"… I mean…"
"You seem to know a lot about what we should and shouldn't do."
Tsun stared at him and an uneasy feeling welled up inside him.
"What! Nonsense… how could I know about that kind of thing? No... that is absurd thinking."
Tsun eyed him for a few seconds before shrugging," I was just joking. Look at how nervous you got."
Lian looked at him with wide eyes," Joke? You do know jokes are supposed to be funny right? What you said just now was definitely NOT funny!"
"Here comes your master," he replied pointing to Ding who was striding towards them.
Lian looked at him and for the first time, he could actually tell that Ding was good looking.
"Okay! He is unrealistically good looking," Lian mumbled and Ding came to a stop in front of them.
"You heading out already?"
"It's late and I need to have a word with some disobedient servant," he replied his eyes landing on Lian.
"Disobedient servant? Who is it? Are they from your group?" Tsun asked clueless.
"When will he stop staring at me like that?" Lian asked himself.
"Excuse us, I'll head back first."
Tsun nodded and Ding grabbed Lian's hand and walked towards the car. He opened the door and threw Lian onto the seat before getting in and shutting the door. Lian silently sat up and leaned against the seat. He looked at Ding who had shut his eyes.
"Is he asleep?"
He stretched his hand and froze just above his head.
"What are you doing?" Ding asked and Lian quickly withdrew his hand.
"Nothing!"
