SAMANTHA
My heart flew into my mouth as I heard Luca's voice. A multitude of questions flooded my brain in that instant.
Should I play dead, act deaf, or play dumb? Was this it for me? How long had he been standing there? How much did he hear? Should I just start apologizing? Should I run away? Or should I dig my own grave?
These were just a few of the questions I could catch from the multitude. I stood up, dusting my knee and turning to face him wishing the ground could just open up and swallow me. He looked puzzled and it intensified when he looked at my face closely and saw the tears and my swollen eyes.
"What's going on?" He asked. He was concerned but at the same time, he wasn't moving toward me. Considering how much of a dick I had been that day at the park his reactions were valid.
I didn't even expect that he would be here. I expected him to stand aloof and have nothing to do with me after I literally told him to go to hell that day.
