"Hey little man," I said as Noah turned in his bed, groaning slightly.
"Hello sir," he said. You could see clearly that he was in pain but he still tried to bend his head to courtesy.
He was too much of a well-mannered boy for someone who had no parents, family, or any means of upbringing.
"It's fine little man, you can call me Lucas". To be honest I had no idea why I was here and this early too. Samantha was the one into stuff like this and I wasn't supposed to feel invested.
"Alright, Sir….. I mean Lucas". He answered faintly.
"How are you feeling today?" The doctor said he was scheduled for another surgery soon.
"I can see, I can smell and most importantly I can eat so I think I'm doing good" He smiled. His positivity was something I was not used to.
