I strolled through the walkway to the elevator amidst very watchful eyes. Unlike the other day, when all workers were on their toes being busy or pretending to be busy at least, avoiding eye contact just to not be at the rough end of my wrath, they were very intent on initiating eye contact.
Some were even audacious enough to maintain eye contact for a while before taking their eyes off to continue whispering
My frustration from the day before was eating hard into me again. What the hell were these nitwits whispering about?
My Secretary wound up behind me panting like he was chased by an enraged Rhino. "Good morning boss".
I looked at him, the fact that I wasn't impressed glaring. "What is it, Michael?" I asked.
"Have you seen the news, Sir?". He handed me the routine morning coffee whilst still in between haphazard pants.
