Sonia ignored Zach's statement. "What else do you want to add?" she said while picking up a flower-shaped flatbread she could not recognize.
Zach stretched his hand to fumble for a drink. As soon as he did, the spirit handed him a teacup, so he drank, once, twice, thrice, before placing the cup down. "Miss Sonia, do you like children?"
Sonia bit the bread and looked at him while trying to discern his intentions. His previously relaxed shoulders are now tense and his jaw was slightly clenched. He raised the teacup and drank again.
"Not that much," she said.
"Not that much?" Zach repeated. "But you seemed fond of that man's children."
"Frey and Freya?"
"Yeah," he said, unsure if he could get her to agree.
"I do like them because they're cute and expressive. Besides, I am their godmother so I treat them the best way I can."
Zach untied his hair slowly and placed the ribbon on the table before fiddling with the fabric.
