"Who are you?"
As soon as Zach heard Edna's voice, even when she spoke in a hoarse and sickly manner, what registered in his mind was, 'She must be gorgeous'.
"Um," Zach said, unsure if she was talking to him or to Kai. He could feel an intense gaze directed towards their location, but he could not tell who is she looking at.
"You…" Edna stared at Zach with confusion and curiosity. When she felt a nauseating and familiar energy mixed with his, her blue eyes sparked with anger.
She forced herself to stand and approached Zach.
"What are you?" Edna asked, wide-eyed. She wrapped her hands around Zach's neck, ready to strangle him if he was one of them, but upon touching him, she could tell he wasn't.
Before Edna could retract her hands, Kai apprehended her. He grabbed her hands roughly towards her back and pulled her towards him through her neck, almost choking her.
