When Sonia calmed down a little, she helped Luke sit down.
Once properly seated, Luke placed a pillow behind his head and closed his eyes. Since he was more drained and dizzy than usual, he fell asleep within a minute.
When he awoke, he scanned the living room but Sonia was not there, so he headed to the kitchen.
She was cooking iron-rich foods again. Her movements were graceful, and she looked like she had calmed down. However, she did not even notice his footsteps.
"Nia"
"Nia..." he said as he tapped her shoulder, but she did not face him.
"I'm sorry," she said.
Luke ruffled her hair.
"It's fine," he said because Sonia was innocent. If she did get involved in a certain incident, she would've lived a life free from the trouble of being a half-vampire.
