With the lone goblin's weapon breaking apart, Kalle now had the freedom to go fully on the offensive.
The lone goblin realized that it had messed itself up.
But unfortunately, Kalle had learned from the goblin how it should use every opportunity given to the best of it and Kalle didn't give the goblin the luxury to take a breather.
The second the bone axe broke, Kalle raised his weapon, ready to crush the lone goblin's head into pieces.
The lone goblin might not be able to think much, but it was a seasoned fighter itself and it knew what it had to do in situations like this.
When it saw Kalle's staff above its head, the lone goblin raised his two hands, ready to sacrifice them to save its own head.
At the same time, it activated the leap skill and prepared itself to use the momentum from Kalle's attack to back away.
However, Kalle knew that the lone goblin he currently fought wasn't a simple-minded creature,
Instead of actually aiming towards the goblin's head, Kalle was actually aiming for something else.
Just as he expected, the goblin had thought quick enough to cover its own head with his hands despite knowing that the silver staff was probably strong enough to break its bones.
So, when Kalle finally brought down his staff, Kalle adjusted his body and turned slightly to the side, enabling him to hit the goblin with full power horizontally instead of a vertical blow.
The silver staff traveled past the lone goblin's hands, its chest, and its stomach before it finally reached its target.
The sound of bone breaking resounded once again throughout the village as Kalle's silver staff broke one of the lone goblin's thighs.
The lone goblin who didn't expect his two hands would be left untouched and instead got one of its feet broken soon went into panic mode as the plan that it made in its head went haywire.
It still tried to jump away using its one remaining usable foot, and the power was indeed much more than an ordinary leap skill because of the unknown skill that it used.
However, a single leg could only do so much and the lone goblin could only go a few meters away with the single-legged leap.
With that distance, Kalle didn't have to bother using his enhanced leap as he just used the ordinary leap skill while keeping the body enhancement skill active on his hands.
He soon caught up to the lone goblin and hit his other feet.
The result was another broken foot and the lone goblin finally fell down to the ground, unable to keep its body standing.
Seeing this, Kalle knew that the fight wasn't over yet.
He didn't know what kind of unknown skill the lone goblin might have under its arsenal and he didn't want to risk another resurrection.
So when the goblin fell, Kalle didn't just stare and heaved a sigh like before and instead moved closer and raised his staff up high, ready to finally give the final blow to the lone goblin.
"It's finally ove-"
Kalle didn't get to finish his words nor swing his staff downward as he heard his one remaining goblin screeched.
He didn't know the goblin language yet, but the contract between them made him able to understand the emotion that the goblin was trying to convey.
And he knew that the goblin was warning him.
He scanned his surroundings only to be surprised when he found another goblin, one that he hadn't seen before coming from the hut in the middle of the village.
It was the hut that the lone goblin had been standing before and Kalle didn't take notice of the hut at all considering there were more huts all around the place.
And right now, the goblin that had just come out of the hut had its staff aimed towards him.
Different from his silver staff which looked very simple and made out of one material, the staff in the unknown goblin's hand was different.
It was made out of wood and the shape was anything but simple.
The handle looked just like any other stick, but at the end of the handle, the wood was shaped in a certain way that it looked like a certain symbol that Kalle found to be familiar.
A shape that had 6 points and was covered by a large circle that compassed them all, it looked like a pentagram.
And in the middle of the pentagram, a crystal, one that was almost as clear as a diamond, floated in the middle.
Kalle wondered why his contracted goblin warned him so sternly about the appearance of the new goblin.
Fortunately, he didn't have to wonder for long.
In front of the staff that was aimed towards him, Kalle suddenly felt mana gathering abruptly there.
And in just a second, the mana manifested itself as a red blazing fireball that left the staff as soon as it was formed.
The target of the fireball is none other than Kalle.
The fireball moved fast.
Although it might not be as fast as a bullet, it was barely slow enough for Kalle to be able to see the projectile coming towards him.
A thought to try and swat away the fireball came to his mind when he saw that he could still follow the incoming projectile.
However, when he remembered the stern warning from his goblin and the fact that he had never done something like that before, Kalle abandoned the thought and instead decided to use the leap skill to get away.
And his decision turned out to be the correct one.
The fireball flew past his previous location and landed on a tree.
And the tree definitely didn't have a good day after that.
The seemingly small ball of fire soon exploded into an explosion that was huge enough to cover Kalle's whole body.
The fire began to spread all over the tree and it didn't take long for the whole tree to turn into fuel for the blazing flame.
While Kalle was busy looking at the burning tree, he didn't realize that the unknown goblin had once again pointed its staff forward.
But this time, it didn't aim the staff towards Kalle.
Instead, it aimed it towards the lone goblin sprawling on the ground.
Now, instead of a fireball, bright white light came out of the crystal and it shot itself towards the lone goblin.
Soon, the lone goblin's broken thighs, its caved-in ribs, and even the small scratches and wounds that it got from fighting Kalle disappeared as its body came back to its optimal state.
Kalle soon realized this after his goblin saw what happened and screeched once more, but he was far too late.
When he turned back, the lone goblin had stood back up once again.
This time, it stood right in front of the unknown goblin that had just come out of the hut.
Both of them faced Kalle. Staring at him with dagger eyes as they readied their weapons.
Staring at the lone goblin that wasn't so alone anymore, Kalle thought, 'So this is why you didn't leave the village…'
