Imelda P.o.v
I'm in the kitchen preparing breakfast and packing Sandra's school lunch, I check the time and notice it is past 6 already.
"Ohh we are gonna be late," I said as I walked to the room to wake Sandra.
"Sandra, mummy's little girl it's time to get up, I'm sure you won't want to be late on your first day at Insight kindergarten, it's time to get up, let's go to school so that you can make new friends," I said as I carried her from the bed to the bathroom.
Adam's P.o.v
"Daddy, I'm set let's go to school," Reynold said as he dragged his father out of the room.
" let's go out my boy, our driver is waiting outside, "I told him.
"Daddy who is taking me to school? , are you not driving?" He asked Adam.
"Uncle Justin will be our driver for today," I said.
"Hmm that ugly uncle will be our driver for today I'm sure his face will scare away all my friends," Reynold said jokingly.
"Good morning little Kendrick," Justin said.
"Good morning ugly uncle" Reynold replied and laughed as Justin tickled him.
He opened the car for Reynold and he sat down in the backseat, Adam opened the door and sat down beside Justin at the front.
" let's go my driver" Reynold shouted as he laughed.
"Okay sir," Justin said as he smiled and started the car.
In front of the kindergarten, there is traffic and we were wondering why there was a lot of traffic there.
"Why is there traffic here? this place is always traffic-free" Justin said.
As we were wondering about the traffic, a scooter drove past us at a high speed and parked in front of the kindergarten. A lady removed the helmet packing her long black hair to the back of her neck.
"Wow, the scooter is driven by a lady," Justin said in wonder.
The lady asked the man who parked the car in front of the kindergarten
"Why will you park in front of the school? Are you blind and dumb to know you are not supposed to park here? I give you 2 seconds to move your car away or I will call the police" she told the driver in a harsh tone and scared the man away.
As she drives her scooter inside the school and is about to park her car a little girl's voice calls her.
"Godmother" Sandra calls her as she runs toward Linda.
"My baby, did you miss godmother?" Linda said as she carried her up teasing her cheeks.
"Wtf are you wearing Imelda, it's your daughter's first day at kindergarten and you are just putting on this casual dress, are you going for a meeting girl?" Linda asked Imelda as she saw her.
"Am I wearing something that bad Linda?" Imelda asked smiling.
"Yes baby girl it's a parent-child event and you are wearing a suit and shirt for God's sake, thank God I brought an extra cloth. Now go to the restroom and change into these clothes I will head inside with Sandra so you meet us inside when you are ready," she said as she handed a bag to Imelda.
Imelda went inside the restroom, changed into the new clothes then came out, she saw a black Range Rover car parked outside she stayed in front of the tinted mirror checking out herself. Suddenly the mirror was wind down and she was shocked when she saw the man in the car.
"It's you again!" Imelda said in Suprised as she saw Adam.
"Yes it is me," I said as I came down from the car.
As I was about to speak she walked out of me and went to the classroom.
Sandra and Reynold met each other and were glad to see each other again they held hands and went to the classroom laughing and talking to each other. The parents were instructed to draw their family portrait. I was technically drawing with Reynold, and Imelda was helping Sandra draw until the time was up and we were told to submit our drawing.
"Whose drawing is this?" The teacher asked as she pointed to Reynold's drawing as other children laughed at the drawing.
"It's mine," Reynold said sadly.
"Wow this is nice," The teacher said pointing to Sandra's painting.
Everybody loved the drawing and admired it praising Sandra and Imelda.
After Reynold ran to meet Sandra holding her hands as they ran to play in the playground. Imelda walks to me.
"The children are still small you have to draw with them not draw for them and you have to help them draw in a way they can understand. You still have to work on yourself to improve" Imelda told me.
Justin walked up to Linda.
"What's up darling you looked good, can I know more about you?" Justin said in a naughty manner.
Linda looked at him from head to toe and walked away.
Imelda sits beside me waiting for the children to come back. The children run in and Reynold holds Imelda's hand calling her mummy.
"Mummy where have you been since" Reynold said happily
Imelda was shocked and looked at my face giving me a sign to ask about his mother. She realized that I'm a single dad suddenly Sandra burst into tears and screamed.
"She is not your mummy, she is my mummy" Sandra yelled.
"I want her as my mummy, collect my daddy and give me your mummy," Reynold said.
They both burst into tears and they were consoled respectfully by their parents.
Imelda's P.o.v
I was busy dressing up for the party Mr Lawson invited me to when I heard a knock on the door.
"Who is that?" I asked as I walked to the door.
I saw an old man at the door.
"Mr Lawson sent me to drive to the party, " the man said.
I took Sandra and went to the car and drove to the party.
Sandra saw Reynold at the children's playground and was happy to see him, they went inside and started playing together. I went inside for the party looking for Mr Lawson then I heard a voice
"Miss Imelda " A man called me.
" I was sent here by Mr lawson to guide you inside for the party," the man said as I walked toward him.
Celina bumped into Imelda mistaking her for a waiter and dropped her glass of wine with her.
"Clean the glass for me, "Celina said as she hurried inside.
"What! Did she mistake me for a waiter? Oh my God! This is ridiculous" I thought.
I walk inside and keep walking around the party observing everyone.
Adam's P.o.v
I walked in and greeted all the businessmen around there, Celine walked up to me and greeted me.
"How are you doing Celina?" I asked.
"I'm good but I would like to have more of your love and affection," Celina told me jokingly.
Celina had been crushing on Adam since childhood but Adam kept rejecting her.
"Celina I had to go meet those men there, catch you up later," I said as I excused myself.
"Reynold I'm hungry let's go and meet my mummy," Sandra told Reynold as they were playing.
"Sandra you don't have to disturb your mummy I will take you to eat sweet snacks now," Reynold told him.
"But I can't eat sweet snacks without taking my pills," Sandra said.
"Why must you take pills before eating sweet snacks?" Reynold asked.
"Mummy said if I want to fight off the demons I have to take my pills," Sandra told him.
They went inside the party hall.
"What's this bad woman doing here" Reynold thought as he saw Celina.
"Reynold how are you, little boy, you are now a big boy," Celina said teasing Reynold.
"Stop touching me, you this bad woman, I won't let you marry my dad, you won't become my mum, I have my mum already," Reynold mischievously told her.
Adam met Imelda and asked her what she was doing here
"I was invited by Mr. Lawson and I have to meet the KD CEO I have my proposal to submit to him," Imelda told him.
"I am the CEO of KD and Mr. Lawson is my grandpa, he told me a friend of his will be coming, come to the office by 8 am on Monday," I told Imelda.
"So you are the grandson Mr Lawson is trying to find a wife for," Imelda thought.
Celina walks up to Imelda.
"So you are trying to flirt with him but I'm sorry to tell you that he won't fall for a waiter like you," Celina said rudely and walked away
Imelda P.o.v
Mr. Lawson Invited me to his house for breakfast. I dressed up for Sandra and we went to the Kendrick house.
"Good morning Grandpa, here is a basket of fruits I brought for you they are good for the body," I said.
Mr. Lawson instructed the maid to take it to the kitchen and thanked me.
"Thank you, my daughter," Mr Lawson said.
Adam's p.o.v
"Sandra, did you like broccoli?" I asked as I fed her some broccoli.
"Eat more fish so that you can grow taller," I told Sandra as I fed her more fish.
"Imelda eat more meat it is good for women," I told Imelda as I gave her more meat.
"Daddy I want more fish as well," Reynold told Adam.
After dinner, Imelda was out watering the flowers then Mr Lawson called Adam to his room.
"I want you to marry her if you don't marry her I will collect back my company from you and you must marry Celina," Mr Lawson said in a harsh tone.
"Grandpa I will marry her as you wish," I told him
I went out to meet Imelda, I called her, and as she turned to face back I said
" let's get married"
