Imelda's P.o.v
I looked up to see who helped me. It was Adam.
"What's wrong with you? what are you doing at the hospital?"Adam said.
"Sandra is at the hospital, she needs urgent surgery and the best surgeon is not available, I don't know what to do right now," I said with tears on my face.
"What are you doing at the hospital?" I asked.
"I brought Grandpa for a check-up," Adam said.
As they were talking Imelda saw Grandpa and greeted him.
"Grandpa, how are you doing, " I said looking sad.
"I'm fine, what's wrong with Sandra?" Mr Lawson asked.
"Sandra needs urgent heart surgery but Mr. Thomas is not available for now, I don't know what to do I'm devastated," I said sobbing.
"When did you discover the disease "Mr Lawson asked.
"Since 2 years old," I said.
"Adam called Mr Thomas now and told him that I want to give up my slot to Sandra, I will wait for the next three months till he is available. My case is not as critical as Sandra's own" Mr Lawson said.
"Grandpa I can't let you give up your slot for her, No I can't do that," I said feeling remorseful.
"Don't worry my dear, what are family for? I'm old already. My immune is strong, not like Sandra's, she is still young and she has a lot of things to do in her life, "Mr Lawson said with a bright smile.
"Don't worry Imelda since Grandpa has made up his mind nobody can convince him all we need now is to stay strong and let the doctor do their work "Adam said.
They all went to the ward with Imelda to greet Sandra.
Imelda went to get the doctor's prescription, and on her way back she saw Adam cleaning Sandra's body with a handkerchief and water, turning her to bed. She felt emotional and stood there looking at him from afar.
Late at night, Adam went out to receive a call
Imelda changed her clothes to a white gown with flowers on her head and hand as she walked towards Adam as he finished receiving a call.
"Let's get married, " I said.
Adam was surprised "Did you mean it?" Adam asked.
I nodded in confirmation, and Adam hugged her tightly.
"After Sandra's surgery and she is discharged we will go to the civil affairs bureau to register our marriage, " Adam said.
Adam tells Grandpa the good news he has been waiting to hear and Adam tells Reynold about her marriage to Imelda. Reynold is happy and was brought to the hospital by the driver.
"Grandpa, did you want to fight the demons as well?" Sandra asked.
"Yes but we need to help Sandra fight the demons first," Mr Lawson said laughing loudly.
"Sister don't worry Mummy, Daddy, me, and Grandpa will stay with you to fight the demons, " Reynold said.
"Why are you calling me sister and calling my mummy your mummy? Have told you I won't give you my mummy" Sandra said innocently and everybody burst into laughter.
"Sandra your mummy and Adam want to get married which makes Reynold your brother, Adam your father, and Imelda Reynold mother" Mr Lawson explained.
"Sandra, did you like Adam?"I asked.
"Yes but I like you the most, mummy," Sandra said.
"I like you too my darling, I'm getting married for your sake if Adam ever hurts you then I will leave him alone instantly," I told her.
"Okay mummy, " Sandra said.
"When will you move in with Sandra?" Mr Lawson asked.
"Oops I forgot about the living together stage when I accepted to marry him, so we will be living together now," I thought.
Linda's P.o.v
Linda woke up to go to the supermarket. She met Justin right in front of her door and she was surprised to see him there.
"Did you sleep here?" I asked surprisingly.
"A real man must fight for what he wants, I want you and I must fight for your love," Justin said.
"Ahh see," Justin says as he points to the wall.
"Your wall is marked with a red mark, it is dangerous for a lady to live alone nowadays," Justin said trying to clean off the mark.
"What's the mark for?" I asked.
"Don't you watch the news? this a sign by all those bad guys it means a lady lives here alone" Justin said as he continued to clean off the mark.
He snapped the mark as it couldn't be cleaned off and sent it to the police station with my address.
"Thank you, you can go, I will take care of myself," I said, pushing him away.
He turned back and off his shoes at my door.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"With my shoes here they will think you live with your husband so, they won't be able to come here," Justin said.
"Thanks," I said and pushed him away, went back inside, and shut the door on him.
Imelda's P.o.v
After Sandra was discharged, I packed to the Kendrick's mansion.
"Welcome home Imelda and Sandra, " Mr Lawson said happily as soon as he saw us.
"Sandra come and see your room, Daddy decorated it for you, "Reynold said, holding Sandra's hand as they went to the room.
"Ehh my room so, I will have my room also, mummy I love my room and toys, " Sandra said happily as she ran around the room.
"Did you like your empire?" Reynold asked her.
"Yes, I love it, " Sandra said.
Reynold and Sandra jumped on the bed holding each other.
"This is you and Adam's room, I decorated it myself, "Mr. Lawson said.
Adam hugs Imelda behind looking like a perfect couple, as soon as Grandpa leaves he removes his hand.
"You sleep on the couch while I sleep on the bed, I don't want to see you near my things, we got married only for our children's sake and because Grandpa keeps urging me to get married, we don't have to pretend like a couple here, all you have to do is act well in front of the children and grandpa so they won't suspect, " Adam said coldly.
"And I don't want to see you near my things at all, you use the bathroom when I'm done, not before me, grandpa is very sensitive so act very well" Adam continued.
I stood there shocked and surprised wondering if this was the same man at the hospital.
