Bai Ye and the crew had decided on their next destination – finding the pirate hunter, Roronoa Zoro. With their course set, they prepared to set sail the following day. Bai Ye knew the importance of adhering to the original story's rhythm and wanted to ensure that their quest to befriend Zoro would stay on track. This way, he could make better use of his prescience.
The night passed without much conversation, and in the morning, Bai Ye addressed the pirates once again. His smile, which had once terrified them, was now directed at them once more.
"Don't be nervous," Bai Ye reassured them, "I've called you here because I have something to ask of you."
He went on to explain their plan, "My captain wants to go to the nearest naval base. Can I trouble you to sail the ship and take us there?"
The pirates, still somewhat intimidated by Bai Ye, quickly nodded and bowed. They were eager to please, despite still being bound by ropes from their previous encounter with him.
"Okay, Master Bai Ye, we promise to take you to the naval base as quickly as possible," one of them stammered.
"Please trust us, Master Bai Ye," another chimed in. "You can leave the matter of the ship to us."
Yet another pirate exclaimed, "Me too! I promise!"
Satisfied with their assurances, Bai Ye nodded and used his abilities to free them from their bindings. The pirates were relieved, but their respite was short-lived. Bai Ye had one more request.
"By the way," Bai Ye added casually, "there's one more thing. Please follow Koby to the naval base and turn yourselves in."
The pirates were left in shock and confusion. Bai Ye's seemingly calm demeanor had fooled them once again. They couldn't believe the turn of events. Bai Ye's cunning and unpredictability left them convinced that he was some sort of devil.

"Eh? Bai Ye, are you going to sleep again?" asked Luffy, Bai Ye tried to explain to Luffy the nature of his unique practice. He told Luffy, "Actually, it's not about sleeping; it's about practicing. I seem to be sleeping, but in fact, my spirit has entered another place where I can exercise and become stronger faster. The golden light on my body before is the result of my return from that place."
Luffy's eyes widened with curiosity. "Wow!! Is there such a place?" He was more interested in this mysterious training location than the specifics of Bai Ye's practice method.
"Hey, Bai Ye, can I go to that place too?" Luffy asked eagerly.
Bai Ye replied, "Well, not at the moment, but it's hard to say in the future."
Luffy continued his questions, his enthusiasm growing, "What does that place look like? Is it big?"
Bai Ye chuckled, "Well, if you really want to say it, that place can change according to my ideas."
Luffy was now captivated, "Wow!! GREAT, I want to go even more!!" His eyes sparkled with excitement, and he fully believed in Bai Ye's incredible statement.
Luffy wasn't the only one excited; Koby chimed in, "Bai Ye!! I want to go too!!"
Bai Ye couldn't help but laugh and pushed Luffy away, saying, "Hey, hey, don't hug me all of a sudden!"
Luffy replied with determination, "I know, as long as possible in the future, I must be the first to let you in!!"
Bai Ye sighed, "Get off me, you bastard!"
After their playful exchange, Bai Ye proceeded to explain some matters to Koby and had a friendly conversation with the pirates on the ship. Once he was done, he returned to his room and entered the interior scene of [Taomen Jilu] for the second time.
The interior scene, in Daoist terms, was an independent spatial world connected to the real world. Bai Ye, as a practitioner of Daoist arts, had the unique ability to access this inner realm.
In this space, one's understanding of Qimen was directly linked to their control over the environment. Though Bai Ye had not fully explored his inner realm, he held a degree of authority over it.
The first notable feature of this inner realm was its time dilation. According to Bai Ye's previous experiences, the flow of time within the inner scene was approximately ten times slower than in the outside world. This was a significant advantage for Bai Ye, allowing him to dedicate more time to his training and improve his skills at a rapid pace.
The second distinctive attribute of this inner realm was its spatial manipulation. Bai Ye sensed that he had the ability to store inanimate objects within this space. His rough estimation indicated that he could even accommodate a naval warship within it. Although he didn't have any immediate use for this power, it could prove valuable in the future.
Furthermore, the inner realm boasted an incredibly rich concentration of spiritual energy, surpassing the outside world by more than tenfold. This made it an ideal location for cultivation and enhancing one's innate qi.
But the aspect Bai Ye cherished most about this inner realm was the unique comprehension boost it offered. Within this space, his ability to understand and master Daoist techniques was enhanced to the fullest extent. To put it simply, Bai Ye, within the inner scene, gained a full-level comprehension buff. This would undoubtedly aid him in overcoming the challenges he would face on his path of Daoist cultivation.
Bai Ye recognized the incredible potential this inner realm offered, and he felt a newfound confidence as a time traveler. He understood that with these advantages, there was no excuse for him to not achieve his goals.
With determination in his heart, Bai Ye began selecting the Daoist techniques he would practice in the coming days. He knew that mastering these techniques was crucial to his journey towards becoming a formidable Qi practitioner.
In this blessed place with the accelerated flow of time, Bai Ye couldn't help but recognize the extraordinary opportunity he had stumbled upon. He understood that if such a place existed in the fairy tales of his previous life, it would undoubtedly attract countless powerful individuals, potentially leading to intense competitions and even catastrophic consequences. This realization filled him with a newfound sense of confidence as a time traveler.
Bai Ye was determined not to squander this unique advantage. He knew he needed to make the most of this environment and continue his journey of self-improvement. With that in mind, he began to select the Daoist spells he would focus on in the coming days.
Currently, Bai Ye considered himself at the threshold of becoming a Qi practitioner, with a long journey ahead before reaching the level of mastery. He identified two main areas where he needed to improve:
1. Energy: Recognizing that innate qi was the foundation of a Qi practitioner's strength, Bai Ye understood that he needed a top-level cultivation method to cultivate more qi at a faster rate. He had already made his choice—the [Pure Yang Wuji Gong], created by their ancestor Zhang Sanfeng. Zhang Sanfeng, being the only one who had achieved immortality at his time, naturally designed this mental method to focus on the practice of Qi. Moreover, being born in Wudang, Bai Ye's martial arts foundation was firmly rooted in Wudang, making the practice of Pure Yang Wuji Kung Fu particularly effective for him.
2. Urgent Shortage of Daoist Techniques: Despite his impressive martial arts background at Wudang in his previous life, Bai Ye recognized that he needed to master Daoist techniques, including the essential five-element spells. Not knowing these fundamental aspects of Daoism would be embarrassing when introducing himself to others. Furthermore, the Daoism recorded in [Taomen Jilu] was of a higher level than martial arts, giving Bai Ye every reason to practice it.
With these goals in mind, Bai Ye delved into [Taomen Jilu], briefly reviewing the various Daoist techniques it contained. After careful consideration, he made his choices and was determined to deepen his understanding of the Daoist arts, continuing his journey to become a formidable Qi practitioner.
