As a couple of jounins from suna went on to clean the deceased kumo shinobi's blood from the ground, the audience started muttering among themselves effectively dividing the crowd into two factions.
The large faction containing of the majority civilians and some shinobis viewed Ryu's killing of Zaku as an act of immortality and brutality, while the smaller faction of experienced shinobis knew that Ryu being from a different hidden village had no obligation to feel mercy towards the kumo genin.
Meanwhile as the audience was discussing the last fight between the kumo and konoha genin among themselves, in the kage box there was a tense silence following Zaku's death and the expressions on the third raikage's face did not look good.
-Kage Box-
In the kage box, the five kages of their respective hidden villages were sitting quietly with a tense atmosphere in the room, all of which was obviously because of one Ryu uchiha.
Even before the match between Ryu and Zaku, the tension was still there between the kages and Ryu's ruthless beheading of Zaku only added fuel to the fire.
The third raikage-A, was the most upset of them all because the only kumo genin to reach the chunin exams finals was literally beheaded that too by a six year old child, uchiha or not it didn't matter.
The raikage wasn't too concerned with Zaku's death but also knew that because of the presence of the daimyos, kumogakure's reputation is going to take a big blow and he shouldn't expect too many missions in the coming months.
As the ever sarcastic third tsuchikage-Ohnoki turned to Hiruzen and let out a small scoff and said to his old enemy,
"Hiruzen it seems to me that konoha had produced yet another prodigy, I guess the kumo genin was too weak to intrest your young prodigy"
Now Ohnoki's words had successfully aggravated the third raikage whose arm rest were starting to crack in the burly kage's tightened grip, seeing Ohnoki's antics Hiruzen just shook his head and replied,
"While it's true that Ryu has the potential but he still has a lot more to grow in order to become a good shinobi"
Of course it was just a bluff and all the other kages too knew it since in their perspectives a shinobi who can kill so efficiently can never be a bad shinobi can he?
Seeing all the taunting and mocking, the newly appointed third kazekage and third mizukage remained silent and ignored the other three kages in the room.
The tensions between the hidden villages had reached a boiling point mostly because of economic disparities among the villages and due to the increasing border skirmishes between konoha, suna and iwa.
The raikage, mizukage, tsuchikage and kazekage all knew that they would have to keep an eye on the young uchiha who could be a real threat to them if war was to break out which was it probably going to.
Hiruzen too knew that the young uchiha had painted a target on his back and even felt a little ashamed since he was the one to hand over Ryu the mission to eliminate all the other contestants and thought to himself,
'Perhaps next time I'll have to caution him beforehand not to go around killing shinobis from other villages'
-Arena-
Meanwhile back in the arena, the proctor quickly announced,
"All right, now moving on the next round of the , could Hashiro hyuga and Saizan come down to the arena"
Hearing this the crowd started to cheer in anticipation of the the upcoming match between the hyuga prodigy and the most shinobi.
While Ryu was just standing there in the competitor's box, Hashiro and Saizan walked down the stairs to the middle of the arena and stood facing each other. As the proctor announced,
"Now Hashiro from konoha and Saizan from kiri HAJIME!"
Hearing this Hashiro quickly closed in the distance between the two shinobis and attacked with the gentle fist style as Saizan calmy jumped back before running through a set of handseals and said,
"Suiton: Rising water slicer"
All while Ryu just leaned over the railing of the competitor's box and carefully watched Saizan's movements and style of fighting.
The fight between the two shinobis from konoha and kiri went on for another 5 minutes in which Hashiro had tried using all kind of gentle fist style techniques on the most shinobi who had always dodged the attack and replied with ferocious ninjutsu.
In the end Hashiro was wounded severely suffering from cuts and broken ribs all over the body and was on his knees panting heavily due to exhaustion of chakra while Saizan stood unscathed and a stoic look on his face before the mist shinobi unsheathed his club from his back and in a second appeared just beside Hashiro whose eyes widened.
But before the hyuga could do anything the konoha shinobi was bit across the face by the spiked club which was powered with immense amount of chakra and was launched straight into the arena's wall.
The proctor seeing the unconscious and wounded conditions of the konoha shinobi quickly announced,
"The winner is Saizan from kiri"
As the crowd roared in applause, the suna medic nins quickly came and took Hashiro's wounded body away to the hospital on a stretcher, while Saizan simply started to walk back to the competitor's box.
All this time Ryu who had been watching the match with interest was satisfied as he had expected this outcome of the match afterall the other exam participants didn't know about the jinchuriki status of the mist shinobi. He knew that this fight must've barely put a dent on Saizan's chakra level so he was going to handle his upcoming match with Fugaku as quick as possible.
-Kage Box-
Meanwhile in the kage box, the third mizukage was slightly smiling seeing his plan of bringing the jinchuriki into the chunin exams was almost successful. The mizukage knew that whichever village wins this chunin exams would most likely get the most of the missions from the daimyos and also this would a statement to the other hidden villages to show that kiri is not to be trifled with.
Just then the third tsuchikage, Ohnoki commented while stroking his beard,
"Hmph, Hokage it seems that the next match is going to be between your two uchiha brats, it's surely going to be spectacle to watch"
While Hiruzen just simply nodded and ignored Ohnoki knowing that the Fugaku although being a prodigy was no no match for Ryu.
-Arena-
Back at the arena 10 minutes after quickly fixing up the arena with help of suna shinobis the proctor announced,
"Now, onto the next fight could Fugaku uchiha and Ryu uchiha come down"
Hearing his name being called Ryu simply walked down to middle of the arena where Fugaku was standing opposite to him, staring at him intensely all while he stoically gazed right back without a hint of emotion on his face.
Ryu could see it in Fugaku eyes, the elder uchiha still was confident that he could beat him as long as he dealt with his speed which made no difference to Ryu who simply was looking to get this over with.
Just then the proctor announced loudly,
"Fugaku vs Ryu uchiha HAJIME!"
Hearing the proctor's shout, Fugaku quickly jumped back creating distance and activated the sharingan all while Ryu just stood there not breaking eye contact with his opponent. Seeing the overconfidence of the younger uchiha Fugaku gritted his teeth and without hesitation casted,
"Genjustu: Sharingan"
And hurled a couple shurikens at him which curved beautifully in the air heading straight for his vital organs.
As soon as Ryu had felt the genjustu being casted over over him with his refined chakra control he had removed it and saw the incoming shurikens and simply side-stepped each one of them. Watching his plan fail Fugaku rushed at him with low chunin speed and punched and started to attack him with uchiha interceptor style moves all of which he calmly blocked.
Just the Fugaku jumped back and went through handseals shouting,
"Katon: Great fireball"
And spotted a huge fireball at him making make a single ram sign as he simply kawaramied himself just behinf Fugaku who didn't have any time to react before being kicked in back and was send sliding into the ground.
As Fugaku, despite in pain, quickly got up and again tried casting his genjutsu upon the younger uchiha who just dispelled it without any effort making Fugaku feel like a fool in front of so many people.
Feeling as if genjutsu wasn't going to work Fugaku started to run towards him and shouted,
"Doton: Flying thrown stones"
And sent a shower of rocks towards him only for him to again quickly use the shunshin to appear out of the range of the doton jutsu but the elder uchiha had already anticipated it and said,
"Katon: Great dragon fire"
Spitting out a huge flaming dragon heading straight at him at high speed making Ryu sigh knowing that Fugaku had used almost than half of his chakra only in the B ranked katon technique.
Ryu was getting really bored by Fugaku and said softly,
"Alright I've seen enough, let's end this farce"
And disappeared in a blue of shunshin to appear right in front of Fugaku who was launched in the air spitting blood by a kick to the chin.
While in midair using his speed, Ryu appeared just above Fugaku and kicked him in the stomach with a chakra infused kick. Like a bullet Fugaku was launched down to the ground creating a small crater and a dust cloud.
As the dust cloud cleared the audience could see a profusely bleeding Fugaku was lying motionless in the crater while and unfazed Ryu and standing next to him. Fugaku could feel pain like never before and knew he had broken a couple bones and his vison was blurring due to blood loss, seeing the mere 6 year old uchiha standing in front of him he gritted his teeth in humiliation and asked,
"Y..you didn't even activate your sharingan?"
Hearing the question Ryu just looked down at the injured Fugaku and replied with a small frown,
"A lion doesn't need his jaws to kill a rabbit does he"
And simply started towards the competitor's box all while the humiliated Fugaku succumbed to blissfull unconscious as the audience roared in applause eagerly awaiting the the final matchup of the third round of chunin exams, as the proctor went to the middle of the arena and announced,
"And the winner of this match is, Ryu Uchiha!"
