Well, it's been 3 weeks since the Becca and Logan fight happened. No progress had been made with them yet. Zac and I have been talking more though, I actually ended up asking him for advice but he said since I don't know what the fight was about just do everything in my power to cheer her up and Logan. Last week I ran into Logan and he was looking so depressed I'd never seen him like that before. Becca is acting the same way too. This can't keep going on or they will never make up. While I'm sitting in the classroom, I start hatching a plan to get those two to make up.
Finally, an idea comes to mind but it's not going to be easy to pull off so i'mma need some help. Getting out my phone I text Zac asking if he doesn't mind helping me and he is down to help so we set a time to meet up after work to talk and eat. After I message him, I get back to teaching. The students are getting into the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. The school bell finally rings to end the day. Heading out to the truck, I message Becca that I'll be out with Zac so she should go ahead and eat without me tonight. Pulling out of the parking lot I head to the destination where I'm meeting Zac.
Rebecca's POV
It's been 3 weeks since my fight with Logan and I still haven't told Annmera what happened. I'm grateful she isn't pushing me to spill the beans about it yet though. I really miss Logan! Ding, Ding my phone goes off with notifications and I look down at my phone it's a text from Annmera " Hey Sis, I'm meeting with Zac after work and we'll be grabbing a bite to eat so go ahead and eat dinner without me. I'm sorry but I'll hurry home as soon as possible for our movie date <3 lovesssss yewssssss!!" Guess it's dinner for one tonight.
I don't really feel like cooking so I'll go out tonight. Getting ready I grab my keys and head out the door, getting into my car I crank my vehicle up and pull out of the drive. Driving down the road I'm listening to all my favorite songs by Blackpink, BTS, Seventeen, etc. I pull into Riley's Tavern, I haven't been here in a while, walking into the Tavern I see Greg behind the bar taking orders. Walking over I sit on the bar stool in the corner. Greg comes smiling " Hey Becca, what can I get for you tonight gorgeous ?" "Greg you are a flirt you know that haha. I'll have your burger and fries with a beer." " I'm only a flirt for you gorgeous and your order will be right out (with a wink)."
Waiting for my order I play games on my phone, then Greg walks up saying " Here you go gorgeous." Smiling I say thank you. Before he decides to walk away he asks " Are you doing okay Becca, you seem kinda down?" I nod saying "Yeah Logan and I just got into a fight 3 weeks ago and we still haven't made up yet." He looks at me nodding his head but I can see he's trying hard to think of what to say until he finally responds " I'm sorry, I wish I had some great advice but I don't. I want you to know this whatever happens I'm here for you and if that idiot makes you cry I'll take care of him for you. You know I care a lot about you Becca and I want the best for you." Greg has always been so sweet, he's a good friend but a really incredible guy. He smiles at me and I can't help but smile back.
After I finish eating and drinking my beer, I pay, tell Greg goodbye, and head out the door. As I'm walking to my car this drunk idiot shows up and grabs me. This dude is totally wasted but his grip is so tight. I tell him to let me go but he just grabs me harder and is trying to get me to go on a date with him but I keep refusing. He starts getting angry and goes to hit me until someone grabs his arm. As I look up I see Greg, he takes the guy and throws him to the ground and the drunk runs off like he is about to pee his pants.
Greg is 6'2ft, has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a golden sun tan from surfing, he's muscular as well with a nice 6 pack so who wouldn't be scared of him when they're drunk? Greg asks if I'm okay and checks me out for bruises. Smiling he says " Gorgeous you forgot your phone haha, it's a good thing though or I wouldn't have been able to be your knight and shining armor" "Lucky me haha. Thanks, Greg I really appreciate it!" My body is completely shaking and Greg notices. Before I can move to get in my vehicle, Greg pulls me into his arms telling me everything is gonna be okay and things will work out with Logan.
As we pull apart I nod and smile. Getting in the car I crank it up and pull out to head home. I look in the back mirror and see Greg talking to Logan. Was Logan there the whole time? I wonder what they're talking about. Thinking about the entire night I can't help but think how cool Greg looked. He's definitely one of my favorite people other than Logan of course. I wonder if I should have fallen for Greg instead of Logan… Who knows? I know one thing Annmera will never know about my feelings for Logan. I've kept it a secret for all these years and I'll keep going for as long as it takes. I'm happy for her though, Zac and her definitely make a cute couple, I just wish they would actually date but they want to know each other better before making it official in my mind once you've kissed as much as them there is no denying you are in love.
Ugh, I'm so tired, as I pull into the drive I walk to the door, head inside, and crash on my bed to drift off fast to sleep as the night replays in my head.
