Angela replied as she continued to sort out the stitches.
"Be patient, maybe August was delayed because he found something."
Angela waited for a moment to hear no reply, feeling that Karel would have to be convinced by herself.
You're really good at convincing fools.
Forget it, leave her alone, this cactus doesn't have many thorns left, cut them off and you can eat them.
Angela thought as she continued to bury her head in picking out her thorns.
It's only been a short time.
"Ow~ I want to go back to sleep~"
"Doesn't Angela want to go back to the dragon's nest and sleep?"
Karel grumbled annoyingly.
"Doesn't want to~"
She answered without hesitation.
It was true that she didn't want to, and more than sleeping, Angela understood that she should think about how to survive first.
"But this August has been gone for so long."
"He couldn't have been eaten by other magical beasts~" the malice was abundant.
"No, he's not like us."
He clawed out the last bit of cactus spines, picked up the cactus and nibbled on it.
Nibbling a piece off the cactus and starting to chew.
Hmmm, the taste is a bit light, but then again, it's a bit light.
Angela didn't know how to describe the taste, but it was certainly a thousand times better than dirt.
"Ow? You're really a vegetarian!"
Karel's eyes rounded, his white vertical pupils filled with disbelief.
And she'd always thought that Angela was just playing with the cactus for fun.
In the face of Karel's disbelief, Angela calmly scratched a small piece of cactus off her paw and handed it to Karel.
"Want some? Tastes better than dirt."
Looking at the green lump, Karel hesitated.
Honestly, I kind of want to try it.
As soon as the thought had crossed his mind, Karel swung the dragon's head with all his might.
No, no, I'm a real dragon. True dragons eat meat! Vegetarians can only be reduced to food!
"Don't~! We true dragons are meat eaters," came the crunchy Loli voice!
Rejected, Angela treated it as if nothing had happened and calmly stuffed the flesh back into her mouth.
Hmmm, the more you eat, the more you get on top, the flavour pins don't sting~
The blue vertical pupils narrowed slightly.
Just then, a figure in the sky approached them.
From a distance, August saw the two figures on the ground.
It's Angela and Karel.
They had obviously been waiting for a long time.
I don't think this Karel has complained much to Angela.
In his mind August was thinking about August as he landed hard on the ground.
It didn't take long for August's form to land on the ground.
"Ow~ You're finally back, too slow"
I had just landed and heard a complaint from Karel.
It is indeed a bit far-fetched to say that one has made a pact and it is one who has broken it.
"Sorry for the delay, but I've made some discoveries."
August apologised sincerely.
Hearing August's apology, Karel immediately raised his dragon's head in triumph.
Unlike Karel, Angela didn't complain, but cut off a piece of cactus meat and handed it to him.
"Do you want some? It's not bad."
Look at the green flesh being handed over.
It's the flesh of a cactus, and it looks like Angela is on to something.
He thought as he stretched out his paw to pick up the pulp.
He took a bite of the green pulp and put it in his mouth.
Ew.
It's okay, it has a way of refreshing the brain.
"Ow~ You two are a disgrace to true dragons."
"We are real dragons. How can you be vegetarians?"
Ignore Karel the fool.
August sat down, he really was a bit tired after such a long flight, especially with a dry feeling in his throat.
Nonchalantly, he stretched out his claws towards Angela again.
"Can I have some more?"
Looking at the pulp in her hand, which didn't have much left, Angela's eyes flashed with dismay.
But who had made August the boss?
Angela silently handed over the entire amount of pulp in her paw.
He took it and nibbled on it, after a few mouthfuls.
Her thirsty throat was moistened and suddenly felt much better.
"Thank you~"
With a quick thank you to Angela, August began to prepare to discuss business.
"Now for our respective discoveries~"
"Karel, you go first."
August and Angela's eyes both went to Karel.
A stretched Karel sits up, confident.
Seeing her in this state, August had the feeling that this guy must be onto something.
But it's good to have discoveries, and the choices can become more varied.
"No! I'm flying towards all the sand."
August: ( ̄△ ̄;)
Angela: ( ̄△ ̄;)
How does this guy manage to be so righteous.
I guess I overestimated this guy...
She pulled her eyes away from Karel's to look directly at Angela.
"What about you? Anything?"
"I found a cactus forest with traces of vegan creature activity," Angela said without haste.
After hearing Angela's words, August's eyes lit up, "The cactus forest, that kind of place would have to have an abundant underground water source.
Otherwise, it couldn't afford to feed a cactus forest.
If you could not find that underground dark river, it was not a bad place to be stationed.
"What about you?" Angela asked, opening her mouth.
Blue vertical pupils stared at August.
"I've found a dark underground river that's rich in water."
"Sounds like a good place to be stationed," he inquired.
Hearing the inquisitive intent in August's tone, a flash of surprise appeared in Angela's vertical pupils.
But immediately Angela felt that August was right.
If it's a river, it's really much better than the cactus forests they're in.
"So we'll be stationed above the river?"
"Yes," August blew a dragon kiss.
"As you wish," Angela kissed him back.
"That's not fair~!"
An angry voice came from the side.
When they finished their dragon kisses, August and Angela looked at Karel at the same time.
Stunned by the sight of two dragons.
Karel felt an unseen pressure.
"I haven't made my position clear yet~" she said weakly.
"So tell me what you think," August asked in a calm tone of voice.
"I think we should go to the cactus forest, aren't there signs of animal activity over there? You can eat meat if you go there!"
"We true dragons don't go to the river to drink, do we?"
August and Angela looked at each other.
It's confirmed, this Karel's brain is hopeless.
"In that case, let's take a vote."
"As it happens, we have three dragons."
"Let's take a vote ~ two votes for a win"
"That's okay, right?"
August looked over at Karel.
Karel nodded his dragon head seriously.
"Good~"
"Raise your right paw if you're in favour of going to the Cactus Grove."
Karel raised his paw without hesitation and looked expectantly at Angela.
Faced with Karel's gaze, Angela silently tilted her dragon head away from meeting his.
Karel was stunned by this sight.
Why isn't Angela her own ally?
Why doesn't she stand up for herself?
