Chapter 96 - Exile

Raijin was beaten and bloodied along with Prometheus as they were both kneeling. The entire throne room was in shambles and wrecked from the battle. The World looked unscathed. Raijin stood up holding both his katana and Odachi. Prometheus gripped his sword tightly, his book floating next to him. 'Get a teleportation spell ready and apply it to Raijin!' He commanded the grimoire. 'But master, why aren't we going to escape?' he asked. 'Simple. Raijin is going to convince Sister to help us. I choose to become a prisoner so my master sees the light' Raijin moved very fast as lightning danced around him turning him into the element itself. He brought his sword down hitting an golden energy shield pushing him backwards. He kept going locked in an offensive mode. The World merely used a shield to block each attack.

Behind the throne a large number of golems like Phobos and Deimos entered. They began to attack Raijin who made short work of all that thought they could take him. He cut them down and made another attempt at the World. "YOU CAN STOP THIS MASTER JUST RESEND THE ORDER TO KILL MY APPRENTICE!" He said with confidence even though this situation and opponent were beyond him. He may have been a Primordial but fighting a Cosmic was more difficult. He was then hit by an invisible force that slammed into a marble wall. "You have truly disappointed me, Raijin. I expected you to act more realistically and not let your emotions cloud your judgment" the World stated. "You're the one to talk? What do you think you're doing?" He said weakly pushing himself out of the crater.

He then activated a spell that turned lightning into beasts. He sent them forward killing all golems in a flash before hitting the shield of the world. He made more and more as they put pressure into the energy shield that did start to crack. The World then disappeared, appearing next to Raijin hitting him across the face and then kicking him across the room. But not before he slashed through the World's metal leg. "All that for one scratch?" It said looking down as the wound healed instantly.

"Master, please see the reason for this!" Prometheus pleaded. "I could ask you both to do the same. But we're past that with this act of insubordination" all the Guides watched from their planes through the orbs. "Master if Prometheus feels this strongly he must be right?" One orb suggested. "You all remain silent!" It commanded with a booming voice that could be felt even in their planes. "NO! We will not. You gave us duties in your court and you once respected our opinions" another stated. The World seemed to flicker with realization at these words. It then looked at the orbs. "Regardless. We are not equals, you all are servants and thus expendable. I will have order in my universe either you get on board or choose to be exiles" one orb went dim and then another. Slowly almost all ten went dark leaving the conversation. "I have to do everything myself!" The World then picked Prometheus up by the neck. "I will lock you up in a cell for centuries till you see reason first Prometheus!" He said. This caused him to smile, "I'm counting on it!" The spell he had been preparing activated under Raijin's feet creating a portal that fell into disappearing from the throne room.

"Why do that?" The World asked. "Simple you need a reality check and who better or bring you one then where he's going" the grip of the World tightened. "Well, it seems you need some time to think then. Phobos!" They screamed. "You really think this will bother me master. You forget when we met I was a prisoner!" He said being dragged away. "And yet you choose to become one once more" the World turned away in disgust.

Raijin found himself in a field of grass and trees. He looked around as the Sun was bright and could see a field of golden grain stretching out glistening in the sunlight. He began walking but stopped when he felt a presence behind him. A massive white tiger with large fangs and glowing stripes came from the trees. "Ah Prometheus has seemed to put me right in your territory?" Raijin started meeting eyes with the beast. "From one alpha to another. Let's call this a minor transgression and go our separate ways?" The tiger growled its demeanor calmer as it approached Raijin slowly. It then bowed, "You may pass human? I see a true fellow alpha in your eyes" Raijin sheathed his sword and bowed. "I'm honored to meet a Celestial Beast. You live here in the realm of fate?" He asked. "True. Sister Spinner has given me sanctuary along with my kind. We offer protection in the forests should her realm be invaded. You don't come off as having ill intent here?" The tiger sniffed the air. "You are injured?" It stated this caused Raijin to nod he felt great pain inside from the battle. "Yes. It seems I have bit off more than I could chew. I must get to my apprentice guest to Sister Spinner" he gripped his side, his ribs felt broken and he felt dizzy.

"I can guide you there. Keeping you company if you would like?" The tiger suggested. "Yes. I would like that" Raijin said, following the tiger as it led him through the forest. They chatted as they walked. "This battle you waged? Was it for the right reasons?" the tiger asked. "Not sure yet. I did it for someone and maybe I should have looked at all the facts before jumping head on like I did. Breaking an oath to help my master see reason" He limped along following the tiger. "Should we let you rest and meditate to help heal those wounds?" the tiger asked. "I will when I have met my destination. I'll be okay" he said, pushing through the pain.

They finally made it to rows of houses made of wood, a small village outside a big palace. Upon a hill was a big lone mansion with large pillars out front. "Here we are the village of Spintress. Little ecosystem for the servant weavers. Along with your apprentice" he then nodded at Raijin.  "Fare thee well fellow alpha Tengu" Raijin nodded. "Call me Raijin," he told him, giving the tiger a bow. "I am  Li Lang" the tiger turned and left. Raijin sighed as he walked into the village. No one was around as he stumbled through the main road.

He looked around and searched for a house that would be housing his apprentice. He then focused his chi sense and found a trail leading to a lone house. He then walked towards the pain now over taking his senses and his body was finally ready to shut down.
