Ain watched Zenit react, heaved a sigh of relief that the worst possibility in his mind had not come, the vampire just closed his eyes.
After feeling relieved, Ain's forehead wrinkled then turned into worry about how quiet Zenit was, he was corpse live but his silence didn't match.
When a faint light appeared on Zenit's wound, Ain didn't blink his eyes watching the epidermal tissue of the skin do its job of repairing the tears here and there which was a miracle.
"I don't know what happened but thank you," Zenit spoke, looking dazed, his eyes blinking in a funny way that Ain would have laughed at if he wasn't amazed.
Ain grabbed Arzan's shoulder. "Good job, your healing ability is better than mine." He grinned proudly, positioning himself as a good older brother.
Arzan snorted as she carefully untied the rope wrapped around Zenit's body. "Don't touch it," Zenit hissing, glaring at Arzan's hasty action, ending up gawking at nothing after that.
With all his desire, Zenit saw Arzan untie knot after knot. "Finished." The loose rope fell pooled on the floor, and Arzan smiled from tooth to tooth.
Beside her, Ain observed Arzan from the inside out, peeling it until it was skinless, but found nothing.
"Now let's go." Ain grabbed Zenit's hand to help him get up on his two feet, supporting his back so he wouldn't sway.
Zenit's forehead furrowed, looking disgusted at the small pieces of flesh scattered on the floor, looking up in amazement, "You can even put the meat back?"
Arzan scratched her head awkwardly, smiling half-forcedly. "I was surprised too."
"Who is there?"
Ain's reflex to pull Arzan's hand to hide was too late, a people shot out pounce on whoever was in front.
Still holding Arzan's hand, Ain's eyes narrowed to focus on looking for movement, even if only a little, ending up clicking his tongue in annoyance at the three vampires stopped in the air. Damn Zenit's abilities were so amazing that Ain was jealous.
"Damn your annoying powers."
Zenit's jaw tensed, grunting in annoyance. "It's only two minutes, let's go."
Ain was still sullen. "Two minutes is enough for you to move or make an attack. You're practically a god."
Passing three guards, Zenit chuckled while shaking his head, behind him, Arzan and Ain followed obediently, looking like a puppy moving quickly, afraid of being left by its mother.
Ain watched three vampire guards freeze in mid-air, his mouth agape, his eyes blinking slowly. "Wow, that's amazing."
Beside him, Arzan curiously held the body of one of the vampires.
"Don't touch that." Arzan's hand was pushed away, she had only touched it a little so she pouted and narrowed her eyes at Ain. "You're a country bumpkin too, bastard."
Ain whistled and pouted his mouth pretending he didn't know. He pulled Arzan didn't give her a chance to move freely. In the end, Arzan rolled her eyes but still followed Ain.
Two minutes passed, they arrived at a soft pink hallway along the walls. "As you say, my skills are a bit troublesome so after I was captured they took out their anger on me."
"You must have done something more annoying, what is that?"
Zenit looked back raised his middle finger, greeted by Arzan's whistle, looking proud and happy. "Well, I killed some of the King's soldiers to defend the settlement. They recruited soldiers by force binding them to work forever with the King."
"Oh my God, may the Moon Goodness bless you. King Aldo better not punish you again."
"How to?" Zenit asked, no longer looking back, focusing on whatever was in front of him.
"Urgently, don't worry, we are in an advantageous position."
Zenit shrugged. "Well, I'm not sure."
"So you want to go straight away?" Ain ask.
Zenit stopped blocking the path to the ground floor. "Please tell us about our condition."
Ain raised an eyebrow, not wanting to confirm Zenit's statement, he hasn't officially joined yet, so there's no 'we'.
"We made some deals-"
"Run!"
Arzan lacked time to process whatever happened, suddenly pulled away by force so she could only surrender. Arzan still didn't realize she was being carried bridal style even though she reflexively put her arms around Ain's neck, No before her nostrils flared to smell the pheromone of roasted coffee.
"What?"
Ain sped quickly able to catch up with Zenit until he was right next to him, reminding Arzan, Ain carried her by jumping from one tree to another.
"Vampire guards are chasing, now at least we meet King Aldo first."
Arzan tightened her grip, the wind blew her long hair until it became tangled.
Ain smiled secretly in awe at Zenit's courage in trying his luck at meeting the king, he seemed like the type of vampire who was relaxed but moved quickly.
Bruk.
Ain is a wizard, not a car on a busy road, where there is one car suddenly stopped after driving at high speed causing a series of collisions, that's what happened to them.
"Shit." Zenit hissed.
"King Al." After getting up, Arzan approached the King, being careful not to exceed the safe limit of bowing respectfully. "Forgive us His Majesty, Zenit is one of our members, he officially joined which means he is under the auspices of King Charlie. Please consider not punishing him, apart from that." Arzan looked a little dramatic turned to look at Zenit who had not had time to get up. Arzan stared at the vampire king for a moment before looking down. "Zenit is still a nation of vampires, please show leniency to him."
King Aldo frowned, it took him a few seconds to respond before sighing. "You guys are rude, you shouldn't oppose me exploring the vampire castle."
"Sorry for our treatment, His Majesty. We are ready to be punished." Ain looked at the king. "This on, but if our concerns are wrong about Zenit punishing proven His Majesty better think again. We are partners, colleagues forming a mutually beneficial relationship, please think about the best steps for the common good."
King Aldo was silent, taking his sweet time, on Arzan's part, it was time to spread bitterness, waiting for certainty.
"Ha ha ha."
Ain laughed too, in the process Arzan pinched his stomach but that wizard didn't stop laughing.
"Sure, we can do some things if that means our relationship gets better."
Arzan awkwardly chuckled in conflict with her brain. "It's like my brain short-circuited."
"Now, please rest. That's enough of the show."
Zenit approached Arzan, held her hand, it looked like he was a spoiled puppy asking for affection. "I want to sleep near you."
"Ha? Try talking one more time so I'll hit your head." Ain rolled up his sleeves, looked at Zenit suspiciously and annoyed.
Arzan chuckled followed by King Aldo. "Go." Arzan watched the king leave until his back could not be seen, glanced at two species from the corner of his eye, and then left too.
It's up to the two species to want to fight.
Arriving at the end of the road, Arzan spoke without turning around. "You two can sleep together."
"Don't want to!" Zenit was about to overtake Arzan, frowning in annoyance at being held by Ain in such so he didn't move.
Arzan hummed, ending in shock. "ouch." She looked up. "Azza?" Her breath hitched.
Azza's facial expression was less than friendly, a dark aura spread throughout his body. "You good?"
Arzan blinked confusedly. "Yeah?" he said confused and Azza still hadn't relaxed. Arzan's hand was pulled.
"I was wondering about the agreement mark between you and Ain. What do you say we do Marking now?"
"That-"
"Why?"
Azza was never that annoying, he was steadfast.
