Matthew asked as he walked, "How's it going?"
"The Red Queen has us locked down, she knows we're here."
"Who's the Red Queen?"
Alice asked.
"The Red Queen, a top-of-the-line artificial intelligence system, she's the computer that controls the hive."
Matthew replied as he walked.
And the Red Queen, recording all of their words and actions!
About ten minutes later, everyone entered the interior of the hive.
Inside, it was empty, and some of the labs were filled with stagnant water that was spraying out through thick glass eyes.
Callump, who wore a tactical computer on his arm, frowned and said, "This will slow us down, and the route to the Red Queen will require going right through these labs."
And now, they don't appear to be wearing scuba gear say ...
"Rae, Jedi, go check out how bad the overflow is."
Matthew began to assign tasks, "Kaplan, find another access road."
With his eyes closed, kevin knew what the pathway was that Kalamp had figured out.
Restaurant B!
Umbrella Corporation's original research subject, the T-virus mutant, Licker's Restaurant!
A feast of lickers and zombies is about to take place!
What kevin was thinking about now was how to nip the licker, as a threat, in the bud!
"It's time for the Supreme Commander status to work ..."
With that in mind, kevin wordlessly drew two short swords from the back of his waist and gently brushed them together, a dazzling flash of sparks bursting out!
"Nice dagger."
Matt, the waterboy cop whose hands were cuffed behind his back, looked at the short sword in kevin's hand in amazement, which didn't even reflect the slightest bit of light from the hilt.
"It's a short sword."
kevin glanced at Matt, the guy was at least a warhorse, and in Biochemistry II, even more so because he was infected with a T-virus mutant and was made into a vengeful evil god.
"I can uncuff you, but you have to promise you'll be honest or their bullets won't be merciful."
kevin pointed to Captain Matthew and spoke to Matt.
"Yes!"
Matt nodded quickly, he hadn't wanted to go against this group of mercenaries anyway, when the time came he would find a chance to disengage from them that is, having his hands free was something he couldn't wait to do.
"Okay, turn around."
KEVIN signaled Matt to turn his back and point the handcuffs at him.
"Ding!"
With a soft clang, kevin's short sword lit up with a flash of fire amongst the chains of the handcuffs, the hardened steel almost like papier-mâché under the darkened blade!
kevin basically didn't feel much resistance, and the short sword easily sliced through the handcuffs!
Sharpens iron like clay!
The two short swords in kevin's hands were simply divine!
"Thanks!"
Matt thanked kevin sincerely, secretly amazed with the sharpness of the short sword!
Kevin, however, did not put his attention on Matt at this time, but instead, he was out of his mind, surveying the shortsword, which remained black and unchanged in the dim light, with a thoughtful look on his face.
(Maybe, you can do that at Restaurant B ...)
"What are you doing?"
Matthew took a few steps over, frowning his ever-unrelieved brow as he stared at Kevyn, the micro-stroke in his hand pointing unabashedly at Matt.
"You are answerable only to me, and I, for one, am under no obligation to explain myself to you."
kevin said, reaching out and easing Matthew's gun down, saying, "Your bullets, they shouldn't be given to humans."
"What?"
Matthew's frown deepened, turning his attention, for the moment, away from Matt, and into the midst of what kevin's words, implied.
"What human?"
"That, you'll see later, I know more about the hive than you do, and listening to me will enable you to live longer."
Aeris was originally saying something to Spence, but their attention, quickly turned to kevin and their conversation, and they couldn't help but lean this way and perk up their ears.
kevin's smile looked inscrutable, movie plot and all, already tired of watching, now, let me be the director!
"What's going on here?" Spence asked as he looked around and toward kevin.
Matthew looked at kevin and realized that the latter looked like he was in love, didn't bother to explain, played mysterious, and finally spoke up:
"Five hours ago, the Red Queen killed someone. She closed the hive and killed everyone here."
"When we realized what was happening, my squad was dispatched to shut her down."
"kevin is the supreme commander, maybe he knows more ..."
Matthew added at last, looking grave.
Alice looked to kevin and asked, "Why would she do that?"
"God knows, maybe it's a virus invasion."
kevin spread his hands, short sword retracted, looking very innocent, at least, on the surface.
"Shit! Jesus!!!"
Matt let out a sudden shriek and popped to the side.
Everyone else looked down to where Matt had just been, only to see the body of a woman floating out of the overflowing lab, just clinging to the glass wall, her hair floating up!
"Temperance."
KEVIN glanced at Matt and pulled out his short sword, his arm was like a spirit snake as he sent out a weird straight thrust, a hint of air ringing faintly above the tip of the sword!
It was the sound of a sharp blade rubbing against the air at high speed!
"Ding!"
The sharp and unparalleled short sword with kevin's power that was almost condensed into a single point, brazenly pierced through the thick bulletproof wall!
"Get out of the way, all of you!"
kevin said, and Matthew and Alyce and the others dutifully took a few steps back, even though they didn't know what kevin was up to.
Then, holding the hilt of his sword with some effort, kevin made a large circle along this glass wall, walked to the other end of the lab, and jerked out his short sword!
"Boom!"
The glass wall that had lost the blocking power of the short sword could no longer withstand the powerful water pressure in it, and shed a large chunk of the wall along the trail of kevin's destruction!
At once, the water inside the laboratory surged out like a flood, quickly submerging several people's ankles!
The woman's body, too, was flushed out along with it!
"Shit! What are you doing?"
Spence has none of the qualities a lead character should have, and quickly jumps to his feet and curses.
"Shut him up."
kevin will Matthew said, pulling out his own small-caliber pistol and stomping on the back of this female corpse, the gun aimed at her temple!
"Bang!"
kevin's wrist felt a slight recoil coming from it, almost negligible, before a bullet hole with wisps of smoke appeared in the female, or zombie's, head!
kevin didn't feel any change in the time limit, which meant that the extra rewards for this mission had to be killed with cold weapons, or unarmed zombies, in order for it to work!
"I found another way, but it will be more time consuming."
Kaplan ran up from the distance, "We need to circle back and take a shortcut through Dining Hall B, then it's all straight ahead."
Matt seemed to find something in the vent pipe and stared thoughtfully at the ceiling.
At that moment, Jedi and Rae returned as well and reported, "Sir, this way is not possible, the entire floor is flooded."
"Shit! What's going on here?"
Rae spoke in a bad tone and eyed Matt, who had uncuffed himself, even more mischievously.
Matthew nodded and gave kevin a deep look, not explaining anything to Rae, and said, "Well, we're behind schedule, so just follow the route Kaplan said and move!"
Then Matthew took the lead toward the front.
Aeris and Spence gave kevin a strange look and followed suit, Aeris already draped in Spence's leathers.
The other mercenaries naturally wouldn't say anything more and hurriedly followed their own captains, only Rei, who seemed to see something in the broken lab, stared at kevin unkindly.
After about five more minutes, the mercenaries walking in front all stopped. In front of them, an iron gate appeared.
Of course, the material was very high grade and shiny, as if it were aluminum, but obviously it couldn't be, it would be some kind of alloy product!
Kevin watched as Kaplan's fingers pressed the combination on the steel door a few times, and the door immediately opened with a "bam".
"This guy, he's a talent."
