Chapter 97: Miu and Sasha
Yuta wasn't aware of everything that transpired last night; he only knew that when he checked in the morning, he found the three women sleeping neatly on the floor.
Aoi wasn't on the floor, though; she had used the couch that the others were too embarrassed to sleep on.
After quietly closing the door, Yuta stretched on the balcony and began to ponder what he should do today.
He knew he had to set plans for the workshop sooner rather than later, as he intended to open a car repair shop. However, before doing anything else, he needed to find a suitable house for his family.
Thus, he thought it might be a good day to go out with Sasha and maybe bring Miu along as well.
Resolving the situation between Sasha and Miu was one of Yuta's pressing concerns, as Miu was Sasha's daughter, after all.
Yuta wasn't opposed to the idea of marrying Sasha. It would make him the father of three children, and he felt that Sasha was indeed a wonderful woman. Her personality and figure were both perfectly compatible with him, and marrying her wouldn't disrupt his life negatively.
The two of them already shared a certain closeness, and Yuta genuinely wished to continue life together with Sasha.
However, things were complicated. Yuta preferred to wait until everyone agreed before making any decisions. He wasn't inclined to marry so early, thinking it wasn't ideal to marry while still in school.
He got up early today and decided to make breakfast, which was usually Sasha's responsibility.
Sasha was skilled not only in housework but also in cooking. She excelled at both Japanese and Russian cuisines. Sora was learning from Sasha how to cook, so she could offer delicious meals when Sasha was busy.
While Yuta was cooking, Miu came downstairs. Seeing him in the kitchen, she went to the refrigerator.
She grabbed a carton of milk, took a big gulp, and then let out a long sigh.
"Ah~"
Finishing her milk, Miu leaned against the wall, watching Yuta cook. In a teasing tone, she asked, "Onii-chan, did you sleep well last night?"
"It was alright, at least no one disturbed me in the middle of the night," Yuta replied casually, recalling how Miu had come by for a surprise room check last time Kaoruko and Aoi stayed over.
Miu frowned, giving Yuta a displeased look. "Onii-chan is so petty!"
"Okay, okay, stop distracting me from cooking. I'm taking you out for a drive today; do you want to come?" Yuta announced his plans and asked if Miu wished to join.
Hearing Yuta's invitation, Miu's mood brightened significantly, and she nodded cheerfully. "Of course, if it's Onii-chan's invitation, Miu won't say no!"
"I plan to buy a larger house, so I want you to be part of the decision," Yuta continued.
Miu had already known about the house plans and nodded, responding, "No problem! Onii-chan, you're really impressive! Some of my classmates said their parents still haven't paid off their loans for the houses they bought when they got married!"
Yuta went on, "Yes, and Sasha is helping me. As a young person, it's easy to be deceived when looking for houses, so Sasha will go with me."
Miu's smile started to fade. She wanted to say something but recognized that Yuta made a good point; for a major decision like buying a house, it would be much better to have an adult involved.
Seeing Miu silent, Yuta continued, "This house will be where our family lives, so we need to consult each of your opinions and the adults' opinions as well. Sasha knows much more about matters like this than we do. With her help, we won't be taken advantage of."
"Okay, I get it. I'll go with you," Miu agreed. After tilting her head back and downing another carton of milk in frustration, she let out a long sigh and said seriously to Yuta, "You should call her 'Sasha-nee.' She's older than you."
"Alright, Sasha-nee," Yuta replied casually; it was just a name to him.
Although it was just a title, for Miu, it felt like a psychological victory!
Yuta calling Sasha by her first name was uncomfortable for both Miu and Sora; it showed their relationship was too close for comfort!
Miu could acknowledge Sasha as her mother, but she absolutely wouldn't accept Yuta as her father, especially since she hadn't yet reconciled her relationship with Sasha, which was partly due to Yuta's influence.
During breakfast, Raika and Aoi came down from upstairs one after the other.
Both were typically reserved, yet their differences were stark.
Aoi had a professional demeanor that conveyed an adult aura, while Raika had more of a student vibe, albeit with a subtle distinction that was hard to articulate.
When they stood together, they seemed worlds apart. Even facing someone older like Aoi, Raika showed no sign of weakness; rather, she exuded a sense of confidence and indifference.
Women's dynamics can be truly complex.
After an uncomfortable night, Aoi left with Raika, who had surprisingly enjoyed herself.
"Phew… finally gone…" Sora sighed in relief, feeling a lot of pressure around those two.
Yuta had something on his mind as well; he turned to Sasha and asked, "Sasha-nee, is Sora really good at her skills?"
"Skills? Oh, you're asking about mahjong? She's not bad; often it's Sora and Raika who win, but Raika is probably the skilled one," Sasha remarked, then curiously added, "You can just call me Sasha; why did you suddenly start calling me 'Sasha-nee'?"
Yuta glanced at Miu, who was looking away, avoiding eye contact.
Seeing this, Sasha realized it was Miu's request and smiled, saying, "Just call me Sasha-nee; I really like it!"
Yuta turned to Sora, who was nearby, and said, "Sora, could you please take care of Hina at home today? Miu, Sasha, and I are going out for a bit, but we'll bring back lunch around noon."
"Where is Uncle going?" Hina asked curiously while munching on her food.
Yuta explained, "Uncle is going out to look at houses because we're planning to buy a bigger one."
"A bigger house? Will Hina's room be bigger too?" Hina asked with interest.
Yuta smiled and replied, "Of course! Just stay home and watch TV for now, okay? You have to listen to your sister!"
"Okay! Hina will be good!" Hina agreed happily. Since it was the weekend and her favorite show, "Shiny Moon," was airing, she definitely wouldn't be going outside!
Not following Miu and Sasha out, Sora hoped for these two to mend their relationship.
Like Miu, Sora also wouldn't accept Yuta as a father figure!
